I don't think anyone has said that Jailbreak data stays. If it does, that's nice. But there is software you can use to backup your jailbreak stuff so you can restore that after your updates. I forget what it was called.

i'm just confused as to which i want to use when updating an already broken jailphone so i keep everything on it but just have the most up to date version.
