Thanks a lot for your help guys. Much appreciated!
What would you think about an history of past scans? The main screen would become a list of scans.
Do you think it would be useful, or would it add too much complexity?

Just wanted to say THANK YOU for your hard work, and for sharing the app with us - I love QuickScan.

Quick constructive critique: better straightening/skewing of the scanned image would be much appreciated!

This is a very good app. Would be worth paying for, (I am tipping). As well as being a very useful app, I especially like the developers stance on privacy.

While working hard on the huge v4 update, I took some days to release the version 3.8 with a feature that has been asked A LOT:
- you can now choose a default save location for your scans. It avoids having to select the destination at each save. Very handy, no wonder it's been asked a lot :).

➡️ QuickScan v3.8 on the App Store

Stay tuned for the v4... :apple:

There it is, the v4 is finally available. It's brand new, new UI, new functionalities. I should give it a dedicated post.
What's new:
  • Scan history (on device, still no server used in this app)
  • Page reordering with a nicely animated drag & drop
  • OCR, text integration improved
  • Still free, without ads, without data collection. Donation based
  • Default save location functionality
  • Automatic smart file naming (use date/time/text)
➡️ QuickScan v4 on the App Store

I'll gladly continue to improve it based on your amazing feedbacks. Thanks guys!

Hello :apple: guys,

QuickScan is now already o_O in version 4.5 with:
  • OneDrive support as default save location
  • WebDAV support as default save location
  • A brand new long press menu for more flexibility when exporting (choice between default save location or the share sheet)
I'm quite proud of this update, which makes the app even more practical while still sooo easy to use! :)

Hello :apple: guys,

Big jump! QuickScan is now in version 4.8 with:
  • Google Drive support as default save location
  • Bulk actions (batch export multiple document as one or multiple documents) - very useful
  • Scans/Documents are now marked as exported or not. You can change this manually if necessary using the long press menu.
  • Many other improvements
I worked A LOT on this update, but Google Drive support had been asked so much!
The cloud upload functionality is now amazing, with iCloud Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, WebDAV (NextCloud, NAS, ...), Google Drive...

Feedback is appreciated!
(Hey! Don't forget it's a free app with no ads and no data collection!)

Some news about QuickScan!
I have been working on stuff that's behind the scene to bring - almost invisible - improvements. It makes it more performant & efficient.

Not that attractive, heh?

Now, back to new features!

I'd really like to know what you'd like next:
  • iOS home screen widget (with what?)
  • Siri shortcuts support (what action would you like to see?)
  • Auto-export upon document creation (i.e. no need to press the export button)
  • .... other ideas?
Let me know so I can start working!

Hello guys,

Today is a big day QuickScan is now in version 4.9 with:
  • SMB shares / USB drives / SD cards support as default save location (adds to all the existing ones, the list is becoming very interesting)
  • Improved UI: the interface and the navigation are even better. I hope you'll like the new animation when OCR'ing your documents :)
  • Exported button customization. You can change the behavior of this important button, to best match your workflow, and be even quicker with QuickScan.
  • The app can be opened with the custom URL quickscan:// --> ideal for the automation guys :)
  • Many other improvements (performance, handling of very larg files, ...)
  • I included the foundations for future updates, with interesting features :). This is exciting!

Remember, it's a free app with no ads and no data collection! Everything happens on device.
Enjoy!

After 4.9, the next update is v5.
It will be a major update. Can't wait to release it.
Also, I'll bring some nice new stuff with iOS 16 in another update.
This will be exciting for all QuickScan users.

Stay tuned!
