24 2gb (factory) delivered at end of August. Fine under 10.4 went wonkier and wonkier under Leopard. Firmware patch has worked perfectly

bought my 24" imac Extreme 22 October...
Received it last Thursday. Was scared to death after reading all the posts about yellow screens, dead pixels, freezing...the list was endless! People returning 2, 3 or 4 iMacs, and still having issues.
Well, I have not had ANY of these issues, not before leopard or after installing Leopard. I feel fortunate.
I got the Leopard update and no iMac update afterwards. So I guess whatever vendor I have all is cool. Sorry others are still having issues.

Hello everyone. Total Mac newbie here. I purchased my machine in late September and am running OSX 10.4.11. For the first few weeks I thought I was in heaven (relative to Windows) and then the computer started freezing. After a while it would freeze regularly. It got to the point where my wife wanted to get rid of the Mac (it took some 'convincing' before we bought). I am happy to report that the last OSX patch and the firmware patch for the ATI card appears to be working. Looks like you've got a great forum here and I'm hoping to learn a lot from the members.
