Well, the difference being that iTunes Radio was never announced for the UK, whereas we know Apple music is definitely coming at the end of the month.
No we don't. The Apple website disappointingly says 'coming soon'. The U.S. is the only place to have a confirmed June 30 date.

So You'd have me believe that the UK, which is literally the second geographic in the world to get apple pay, and one of the biggest markets for Apple, will not be included in the 100+ countries that they confirmed would be getting it tomorrow?

I agree, but also slightly suspect that the U.S. site says June 30th and the UK just says coming soon

Click on Settings when the pop-up appears and activate mobile data on iTunes Store and App Store!

When you do that you will activate it to automatic updates, iTunes Match and Apple Music.

It's the only way to use Apple Music through 3G/4G.
Thanks JPOWA. The subscriptions page still doesn't show for me though as atwater mentioned.

Is there any news what the Music App does when it is in landscape mode? Thought not a fan of Cover Art I would prefer that to no rotation. I use the phone as a media player in my car and it is fitted in Landscape orientation majority of the time while listening to my playlists.

Thanks

Currently on Beta 2 the Music app stay on portrait when you turn the phone landscape, meaning that the annoying Cover Art no longer shows. A step in the right direction, but now we need the player controls to switch landscape so that we can use it as a landscape media player in the car :)

I've never listened to the BBC World Service but I did briefly this afternoon; the Beats 1 demo now works in the UK too.
Working for me as well (in the UK), though Beats 1 required a few taps before it would start to play. Seems weird having Radio native on the Music app on my iPhone

It certainly does... I listen to Absolute 80s a lot at home and I think the last phone I had with an radio was the Nokia 6300! And I only ever went for that because it came bundled with a Dell laptop at the time.

Where did they confirm 100+ countries would be getting it tomorrow? Why wouldn't they put it on the website?

Right from the keynote.

Just a side note, they also switched the Beats1 Thumbnail Color from Red to Black. image.pngimage.png

if I can start a Beatles radio session, does that mean there part of the apple music catalog? because I can.

Launching in 100 countries overall. But it starts on the 30th in the US. The other 99 are coming soon, as per the website.

Look I want it to be tomorrow as much as anybody else, but it doesn't make sense that the UK website doe snot give tomorrow's date.

No, they said in the keynote it would launch in 100 countries on June 30. I'd go back and watch it, they 100% said that.

I really wouldn't read into the coming soon text. They've already said it'll launch tomorrow in 100 countries, and they only added the iOS 9/OS X/watchOS preview pages to the UK site a few days ago.

Why don't we just hold fire until 5pm tomorrow, then reconvene once we're sitting pretty with Apple Music blasting from our sound systems in sunny GB ;)

Just before the Apple Watches were shipped, the US website changed to 'Coming Soon' as supplies were in question and if I recall correctly - a lot of watches were still delivered.

I agree with you and think we can ignore the 'coming soon' text, it's not consistent.
