So what's your favorite option for getting good photos on a rainy, grey day? Where do you go and what do you look for?
I can recommend getting wet. Skin is impervious to rain...

How do you suggest getting my skin wet and not my camera? It seems that if your skin gets wet my camera will get ruined?

True... I'm really just suggesting that you can get some interesting landscape shots immediately before - and after - rain.
Rainy and grey days?
I try to depict the mood that was around at that time. This is because I often find that even those days ahve a 'special' feel to them.
I don't mind getting wet and like walking around the city during cloudy weather.

The D3 isn't anymore water resistant than any other "weather sealed" dSLR. Needs a rain cover. Not that I am getting one, but would the D3 support rain? Or do you still need a waterproof cover?
Not meaning heavy rain, just a gentle shower maybe.
Even my lowly D200 is weather sealed, but I keep a rain cover for it in my bag. I would not want to expose it to pouring rain. Even a light drizzle makes me nervous. But I'm really more worried about my lens (Nikkor 70-200/2.8 VR).The D3 isn't anymore water resistant than any other "weather sealed" dSLR. Needs a rain cover.
