It's more than enough unless you are editing movies with Final Cut (in which case, you should try Adode Premier, which is NOT a memory hog and can do fine with 4GB).
Here is what I have running on my MBP with only 4GB:
- Windows XP on Parallels with a high graphic intraday stock trading system
- Adobe Lightroom
- Adobe Photoshop
- MS Powerpoont
- MS Excel
- MS Word
- Xcode
- Skype
- Browser with 10+ active tabs
- Growl
- LiveChat client for chatting with customers
- Mock Wirefeame design tool
Because Mac OS handles memory so efficiently, it's so easy to switch back and forth between these apps.
And yes, I plan to get the 11" MBA and shoehorn all those apps down into it - with the aid of a external 26" monitor.
