Just about any 'Gen2" product can be put down to poor battery life though as the first point..

The second, may be features... Although, how many features can you add to earplugs?

Funny how people are embracing wireless as the future yet going wireless requires you to pay several times more for essentially the same experience you had when stuff was wired.

Yeah that’s a given. Except in the past the common headphone user purchaser and casual listener would always tangle the wires of traditional headphones wrecking connections and still have to buy several of them over the years. Not to mention staffing them during commute or in school snagged on someone else’s jacket or bag and yank wires were ripped! I don’t really see much of a difference.

I mean they wouldn’t. The battery is degraded.

Exactly.

The AirPods are so convenient that I look at the replacement cost as a business expense ( when they have to be replaced)

That’s a way to look at it. The early adapters were definitely thinking that way and expensing then as employees.

How about:
  • battery life (hours of usage on a charge when new)
  • battery lifetime (number of days or recharge cycles before "battery life" becomes unacceptably short)

Shorten the disconnect timeout when no audible streams are in place. ??
