Sure does. Last iup mail in I did was my 11 Pro Max. Took a week to travel 30 miles. Glad I’ve switched to just doing payments with Apple Card and paying in store. Good grief. This has always been a small problem but it seems now it’s gotten bigger. Call Apple they’ll help you
I’d call Apple and ask for a trade in specialist.I ordered iPhones for my wife and me and received them in the mail. Rather than mailing the trades I took them both to the local Apple store and went through the trade process there. It seems I was given an immediate credit to my Apple Card there and then. Today I received an email asking if I still planned to mail in my trades.
My question is: Will I pay full price monthly or will there be a debit that goes against the credit and I'll end up paying the monthly price that includes the trade value?
Wish I had some words of encouragement but I’m still dealing with the issue. I’ve called Apple at least 7 times now and most of CSRs are useless and cannot view the previous notes in their CRM system. I never took action on the Accept/Reject status and their system auto rejected the revision last weekend and I’m expecting the return of my iPhone 12PM today via FedEx. Curious to see the condition of the phone as well as if the Serial Number matches what I sent in.I’m dealing with the same issue. Traded in 2 12 pro maxes. Perfect working condition. 1 went through fine, the other showed a please accept revised trade in value but it still said 790 so I stupidly accepted. Nowhere did it mention any other amount. Later I got an email saying your trade went through and the revised value is 310. Called apple support, they said it was revised due to the screen being unresponsive. She somehow could see documented pics of the trade in and said it must have been a mistake and opened a shipping investigation (even though that clearly wasn’t the problem). Waiting to hear back. ?
I don’t like trading in to the store on the spot because I’ve had backup/restore issues in the past so I like to get my new device all set up before wiping the old one.

I did get hit with a $860 charge on my Apple Card for all of this. Was hoping to have this sorted out but the end of the month is approaching. Might try to flip the 12PM this weekend locally assuming it’s still in working order!
Good luck with that. The last email I received said if they didn't get the phones in a week they would charge my Apple Card the amount of the trade. That's ok because when I took the phones to the Apple store to trade them in I was given an immediate credit for the trade. My biggest problem is with the math. My September statement says I owed $411.15. After the trades hit it dropped to $83.25 which coincidentally is my monthly payment amount for my MacBook. The total trade credit was $554.63. So things don't really add up. I'm hoping it all falls into place once I see the October statement. Time will tell. By the way, I transferred all of the stuff from old to new phone at home. Then, instead of mailing the phones in the boxes provided, I went to the Apple store and did the trade there. They confirmed the trade amount I expected on the spot. But, that only works if you have a store you can get to.I’m dealing with the same issue. Traded in 2 12 pro maxes. Wow this really reinforces to me that doing mail in trade ins .... I'm going to avoid. Thanks for the update. Minus the time spent, at least it's a happy ending! lol.Final Update:
My 12 Pro Max was shipped back to me and the phone is fully functional. No damage to the screen as indicated. I called Apple again to try and work out what happened but 4 phone calls later, I was told I could either ship the phone back for re-appraisal, take it to the Apple store for appraisal, or just not take any action.
I ended up heading to my local Apple store last night. The associate and manager were great to work with and accepted my trade on the spot and applied the credit direct to my Apple Card.
I'm glad that this 'saga' has come to end although I started eyeing up those new fancy MacBook Pros last night and now I'm tempted to snag a MBP 16!
Moral of the story - when I buy my next iPhone, I'm ordering for in store pickup and will hand off my phone directly to an Apple employee (assuming the trade value is worth while).
Thanks everyone for the feedback!
Well after 3 weeks of dealing with customer service. Going around in circles, being escalated, not getting a callback, more circles, I finally got an email saying:I’m dealing with the same issue. We've concluded our investigation and will be issuing you a trade-in credit based upon the original quoted value. |

Still waiting to see the credit hit. What a headache. I will be avoiding trade in by mail at all costs.
