I ordered an iPad 5th gen yesterday for Black Friday and it’s a little treat for myself at Christmas anyway it arrived today in box perfectly packaged with air packets and as I went to close the box up ready for Christmas the air packets felt like they were squashing the iPad box do you think this could damage my iPad or not?

serious answers only please

Traditionally if you're treating yourself to something like this for Christmas you start using it as soon as you get it, not wrap it up to open on the day - what's the point of depriving yourself of several weeks usage so it can sit wrapped up?
Traditionally snooping in parents closet or under their bed ........

It would take a lot of pressure from an airbag to hurt you device.

If worried remove and start using you new toy!

I can’t because someone else bought me it lol I pushed the box down on the air packets and they squashed against the box I reckon do you think this caused much force?

It was against my iPad box so I’m worried the box is now pushing against the screen causing it to dent or damage it
Open the iPad to make sure no damage has occurred and test out the screen and functionality. If you wait until Christmas you may not be able to return it if it is damaged or has problems.

Kallum.

I told my girlfriend and she said I could open it if I want to, I’m still worried that it may be damaged from the pressure of closing the brown delivery box which was packed with air packets and I’m scared that it caused the air packets to push in to the box and dent the retail box

You have nothing to worry about...other than the fury of a woman that has been wronged, if she finds out you were snooping of course.

So, don't worry about the device. It's fine. Now delete your account, change your online identity and clear your browser. It was nice knowing you, friend. Good luck. Alternatively, order roses and pre-write an apology card should she find out. :D:D:D
