Mine updated about a zillion times over the weekend--it's now on the truck for delivery to Chicago. Very excited. Also very grateful for this thread, because it allowed me to predict pretty acurately when mine would go from PFS to shipped to on the truck.

In the end, I'm only getting my iPad about 2 days before the original estimated date. Maybe I should have just not looked and then I would have been surprised when it showed up at my office today!

Same here. But 2 phone calls to UPS and they swear it'll be here by 10:30 today. I hope they're not lying.

Yeah.. That's the same thing they told me on Friday... I've been updating the shipping page every couple of hours the entire weekend and nothing changed. Freebies if they don't keep their promise?

just called them again... they say the plane probably hasnt landed yet... they keep telling me to keep monitoring the online tracking but the tracking hasnt been updated in like 36 hours already.. UPS is the worst.. even the employees dont have a clue as to what is going on.

True, even I called them up today (twice, to verify). When I asked about the estimated delivery date and time, they said that it should be on schedule (Monday, delivery by 10.30), as that's what they see on their system. But when I asked about what's the latest status, they have no clue - they think the shipment is still held up for customs clearance, and the only information they can give me is that its on its way to US. Bad UPS

basically people who were lucky enough to have apple use fedex for their ipad will have them before the people who were unlucky enough to have apple use UPS for their ipad even though they were both shipped out of china on the same day...

After being in transit to Louisville for the past 36 hours with no updates, this morning there is a THIRD departure scan from China; called UPS and they say it was held up in customs, and is "on it's way to Louisville". Anyone else with a package on this flight heard anything different? Delivery was supposed to be today!

Mine just arrived at my office. To keep it from getting groped by everyone before I even have a chance to activate it, I'm leaving it in the brown UPS box until I get home. I'll report in the light bleed thread if I see any--I'm hoping these newly manufactured ones don't have that problem.

And UPS finally updated the tracking page - and looks like its still sitting in China. And delivery was supposed to be today!!

Just got off the phone with ups and apple. Ups is clueless and apple says we don't know it's in the carriers hands. The best guess they gave me was wed.
apple said nothing gets shipping from china on sat or sun so I guess we just missed the cutoff Friday night.
