If you order online your looking at about 3 weeks from order to door step with current shipping estimates. I think you can cancel any time as long as it has not shipped. Also, pretty sure online orders must be sent back for return.
I truly hope your right.. I was depending on the tracking information to plan on having someone available to sign for the package but considering the information I have hasn't updated it is hard to plan this around work without knowing for sure when the delivery will be.
Has anyone else had issues with their tracking information not updating?
Their email I was sent tells me it should be here by tomorrow, which the apple rep I called said it should, even though its still in Alaska. So I guess I will still wait for it tomorrow. Since I saw others saying they got offered free stuff without even asking, I was surprised this guy was just like "oh yeah, its on time, is there anything else I can help you with?"

Not sure where you're located, but the shipment will arrive in SDF (Louisville) at around 1-2am local. Their bank leaves around 5am for destinations all over US. Mine showed in around 6am and was in my hands by 10am.
YMMV.
I have seen some shoot from "prepared for shipment" to "out for delivery" within a few day but u r going to need a lot of luck for that one.

Exactly 2 weeks after placing the order, it still days "Ship 5/16, delivery 5/17", nothing changed. Is that because I have engraving? Any of you with engraving that got earlier than originally scheduled ship/delivery date?

I have never worked at a delivery company before but I don think the lack of update in your tracking is necessarily associated with a lack of progress in the transit. See I believe some sort of error ( manual or automatic) has happened in the reporting of your package. So ur pad could actually be closer to you than u think. The next update shoul give u an idea. I hope this helps.
Mine was engraved 16 black. Ordered 4/25. Ship 5/9 deliver 5/13.
Exactly 2weeks after order 5/9 it changed to "prepared for shipment". It shipped on 5/10 with an estimated delivery of 5/17.

I went to the apple store and stood in line yesterday and today but they did not have the model I am looking for.
Some observations: Mostly people in the line were Asians and they were there yesterday as well and the same people today. They are with wife, parents etc.
Are they buying these and reselling these? I may be wrong. Who would buy from them? Where would they sell, coz its released in most countries or you cal also order them online. So if they are selling are they making money?
Is this also a reason that apple stores are out of it before they even open the store?

I ordered a 64 gig wifi black through our education store on March 30, and just got my 3rd push back, now supposedly shipping by May 27th. Really not digging the shabby treatment after buying new apple products for 10 years Sad thing is it was part of a larger order, there is no educational price on ipads so there's no reason for the second class treatment.

Ordered mine 4/29. Got shipping notice on 10th with original scheduled delivery for 13th, but it looks like it's just been touring China for 3 days. So much for on-time delivery. A bit irritated. My iphone 4 made it here from China overnight. Gave me falsely high expectations.
