Well, i ended up canceling my order...

But...i found one locally!!!!! Had ordered the 16 but ended up with the 32 black after findng one(no easy task in this metro area) at the university where i work. I just got lucky and they held it for me. Actually typing on it now. This thing is better than i expected.

(For clarification I shipped a 32 gb Black wi-fi only model to Toronto Canada)

A friend actually picked up a 64 gb white model with Smart Cover and Screen Protector in HK for me at $130 off so the 32 gb I ordered is going to go right back

Don't want to derail the thread but on that note, has anyone had any experience with returning online Apple orders in Toronto, Canada? I heard you have to ship it to a location in Markham, how's the shipping rate and will Apple cover the cost afterwards?
 
I got my iPad today! I am actually typing this from my iPad. I love it! If you aren't going to be tax your house I suggest putting a pre sign form up by your door. I put it up there and it worked quite well. You can tell the driver where to put the package
 
Thanks Hokkaaaido! Assuming everything goes well, my iPad might be delivered Friday according to the timing yours followed (it arrived in Anchorage this morning and is heading for Montreal metro).
 
Ordered May 28th

Ships: Jun 14
Delivers: Jun 20

The red leather cover and camera attachment will be delivered this Friday, June 3rd, though. Hopefully, I'll get the iPad a few days earlier than estimated.:)

Tried to get it at my local Apple store, but they never had the one that I wanted in stock when I got there (64GB, black AT&T, WIFI and 3G) so I decided to order it online.
 
Order weirdness (or me being impatient ;)

I placed my order on May 22nd around 6pm EST (with engraving) and the ship by date was June 7 and delivered by was June 13. I now see the previous poster ordered the day after me and already has shipping confirmation...

On May 31 about 2pm EST, they did a temp auth on my card, changed the delivered by date to June 16 and I haven't seen an update since... I am even still seeing the "edit" link for the engraving on the order status page.

Anyone know why the delivered by date would slip by three days when the ship date doesn't change?

Is it typical for an engraved order to charge the card then sit for almost 3 days with no movement?

And no sooner do I post this, I get "prepared for shipment". I should have posted this last week, I'd have it already ;)
 
Ordered two today (June 2nd):

Black WiFi+3G (AT&T) 64GB
White WiFi+3G (AT&T) 32GB

So far estimated shipping is June 16, estimated delivery June 22. Here's hoping it ends up being sooner! :)

Almost the same for me. I ordered, with engraving, on May 20th. Ship date was June 6th. May 31st they posted prepared to ship, June 1 they put a hold on my debit card. Today the hold is off and nothing else has changed. I don't believe "Prepared for Shipment" means in the next 24 hours.
 
iPad arriving early?!?

Ordered May 23.

My original predictions were as so:
Ships June 7
Delivers June 10

HOWEVER, my iPad shipped today! New dates as follows:
Shipped June 2
Delivers June 7

Does this mean if my iPad shipped 5 days early that the shortages are finally coming to an end?
 
my status changed this morning (10am, EST) to prepared for shipping. How long after this update will it be before it actually ships?:eek:
 
There seems to be no rhyme nor reason to how they do this. I ordered on the 20th also. A white 32GB and a black 32GB 3G. Both were engraved. Maybe that slowed it down. In any case, there are many people who ordered same day or later and already have their pads. This sucks.
 
Shipped on june 1st. It's in New Jersey atm.

I live in VA and it still says it will be delivered on the 7th. Im hoping for tomorrow or saturday

I assume they updated you that it would be delivered right? I wanna make sure I'm around for delivery, so hope they kept you informed?
