Would love to read your thoughts on the SE when you get it. By all accounts it should be a beast of a phone. Same A9 processor and internals as the 6s. I think battery life should be outstanding too!
Will do, but it's starting to look like it's sold out everywhere (the 64gb black). I don't want to go to the Apple store, but might have to.

I bought an SE. Arrived yesterday. Battery life has been good thus far, and it is really fast. Really, really fast!

I have seen issues online related to the home button not responding properly, but mine is perfect. The fingerprint scanner may be gen 1, but it is still fast and accurate. The phone is so friggin small! The entire phone (and case I have on it) fit inside just the display of my S7 Edge! I upgraded to iOS 9.3.1 right away and so far everything runs as it should.

It is a good backup phone for those times when a small phone or an iphone is a better option. i.e. Rental cars that only have Car Play. Running on the treadmill. Testing out Android Wear and the Gear S2 on iOS.

Just got it. Still haven't set it up yet, but man this thing is tiny, but everything is scaled right so it doesn't feel small, but cramped. It is speedy, very fast. Camera seems great, looks about the same as my 6S. Reception is very good, I noticed more bars than my 6S Plus. Can't compare reception with my S7 as that's on T-Mobile and the SE is on AT&T. And it's charging very fast, I have a fast charger in the car, hooked it up about 30 minutes ago and it went from 69% to 90%. Keyboard is going to take some time to get used to, good thing the auto correct works fairly well or I would have even more typos.

Yeah, I'm thinking this would be a perfect phone for someone that doesn't do much on their smartphone. And by that I mean some one that'll casually use their phone to browse, game, and media. If someone mainly uses it for phone calls, Audio streaming, checking their bank account, taking photos, and causally uses it for media stuff I think this would be perfect.

I will bet this thing is beastly fast. Maybe a few enhancements over the 6s that will see in the IP7 too. Isn't nice to have new toys!

Pretty much... Exactly why I got one. I wanted a small iPhone for a backup, after I bought my wife's parents an iPhone 5, and found it was something I could see myself using.

The SE came out at the perfect time. And I really believe it is a worthwhile phone to own. Glad Apple came out with it.

I wouldn't give a small child a new phone. I'd get a good or mint condition 5S off Swappa at less than half the cost of an SE for a kid.

He is an advanced kid for his age. He is the tech support for his mom ( my ex). He can text and email at age 8. He has his own iPad mini 4 and plays chess on it and games too. He uses his iPad with just a Smart Cover and has never damaged it. He is not the ordinary kid. He has grown up around all kinds of tech from seeing me using them.

I mostly agree with you. I plan on giving mine to my son once I'm done using it and will use the 5S as my backup, he been pretty good with his stuff, started using an iPhone when he was 2 and I got my first iPhone 3G. And since he will use this every day while my backup will be used sparingly, I figured I'd give him the better one to use. And while I was getting mine, there was another lady there getting one for her daughter who looked around 10, upgrading her iPhone 5C.

I'm also glad apple is still catering to this market, the only other handset in this space would be the Xperia Z5c, and from what I've seen (never held one, damn Sony), the iPhone is more compact, thinner, better camera, more storage options, nicer build, better software support, better availability, AND cheaper. The only real advantage I can find on the Z5c is the water proofing and maybe the screen.

Wow, restoring it now and it's getting really hot, I think the last handset I've had get this hot was the One M7. Haven't seen a dip in performance though, even with everything selling in the background.

it is a beautiful phone but due to poor resell value it's not something i can afford compared to the iphone which sells very well.

Ah I wonder if the se can take faster charging like the 6 and 6s. The 5s maxed at 1 amp charging.

i use a belkin dock by my nightstand and the ipad charger. The 6s+ charges pretty fast on that thing....
It does, not saying it's slow. But the SE on the iPad charger charges at about the speed of the S7, maybe faster. Of course it also has a much smaller battery to charge.

You got pretty much the same set up as me, though I use an iHome dual dock clock radio, it charges both my iPad and iPhone and has a USB plug in the back which I use to charge my android phones.

yep...close to the same setup. I have the standup samsung wireless charger right next to the belkin. Gotta keep all the goodies charged :) I use my 6s+ as my alarm clock too. I just like the iphone alarms better for some reason.

Nice, been wanting to get one of those. Just waiting for a sale. How well does the phone stick to it?

This is my set up, just replace the iPod with an Android phone. And my Apple Watch is next to it also on a dock.

Very nice setup! The wireless charger is great. It has a thin rubber ring around landing pad so it grips the phone and makes it stable. They toned down the lighting so it has a small light at the bottom now. Blue it's charging....green it's charged.

Let me also recommend this as a cheaper alternative. Works very well but may bout be as fast as the Samsung one. But I love it. I keep a few around. It's also a stand so you can still see and act on notifications as they come in.

Thanks. That looks really cool, not feeling the USB port on the side though.

What stand is that for the Samsung charger?
