Recommend me a strategy game

My favorites are currently Command and Conquer 3 and Heroes of Might and Magiv V. And the best part is you don't even need to run bootcamp to play them, the are for OSX!
World in Conflict
without a doubt. CnC is great, too and you can load mods (which i have YET to figure out how to do in osx - stupid EA!) - which is weird because you can load mods in the mac version of Generals & Zero Hour.
IMHO, it really comes down to whether you like tanks, faeries, or whatever - Supreme Commander has it's detractors (the zoom is pretty awful - Sins of A Solar Empire does it much better, even if the game's balance broken slightly) and if you like fast paced action (RTS's, my fave) or slower, more in-depth type games (TBS's, which can be cool sometimes, i think, but i like blowin' stuff up!)

DalI think the best Strategy game is Europa Universalis II. It is immense, and has a good balance of warfare/diplomacy. They've just released EUIII, but I haven't had time to play it yet.
Hearts of Iron II is also fantastic. Similar mechanics to EU, but WWII based. I wish they would release the Medieval War games for OS X, but I guess I'll have to get a shiny new Intel based machine and run Parallels or Boot Camp...

Dawn of War is a great (award winning) sci-fi strategy game. Windows only, but plays like a dream under bootcamp.

Best turn based strategy game of all time: Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri
The reason I recommend it as a bootcamp game is that the retail version is an OS9 app on Mac, and the carbonized version that was released in the after-market doesn't seem to play well with Leopard.
RTS games have always struck me as tactical rather than strategic games, so I it doesn't feel right to recommend any for "best strategy game". Starcraft is the best of those, though.

Age of Empires II. An old (8 years) RTS that keeps you coming back for more. I play on LAN all the time. Sure, it's got outdated graphics, but its gameplay is never-ending, and there is a TON of user made content, up to this day. I own two copies of the Mac version; you could run the PC version as well.
Or, if you like, you can try Age of Empires III, for better graphics, I feel the gameplay isn't as up to par as AoK, but it's still a very good game. I play it with people who aren't as serious about strategy games. Own 2 copies of the mac version as well.
The Age of Empires Series = The definition of what an RTS is. AoK is the reason we have the RTS genre today.

Had forgotten about that, I'll have to dig out my pc version of it and play it again, wasted many an afternoon enjoying Alpha Centurai. The design your own units bit was brilliant!
