chestnut. I like the whiskey too, but decided on the darker color for long term use. I also thought the monogram looked nice, but unobtrusive. Hope you enjoy yours!

I got my P&Q in yesterday, but I haven’t installed in yet. I’m rethinking putting the ASK with it. I don’t use the ASK a lot, though I like having it there at a moment’s notice. Then I watched this video again.
It’s the video that initially removed my reservations about the adhesive, but as Mr. P notes, the magnets don’t do much. I’ve found my magnets slipping several times as well.

Did you install yours with the iPad Pro only, or with the ASK as well?

I love P&Q products and have been thinking about this case. I see it allows you to prop it up to use with a keyboard, but can you use it like the apple folio where it creates a wedge for a slight prop up while on a desk or in your lap?

I've had my P&Q for a few days now and remembered your post. The answer is, yes, there is a way to prop it up. There's a line of threading sewn in for that reason. I can't describe it too well, so I'm attaching a couple of photos to clarify.

I can’t beleive that no one is realeasing a case that is not horribly ugly and provides full drop protection when the folio is open... I am super disappointed with the cases currently available. No one is making a reasonable compromise between looks and protection. I am certain many of us are looking for such a case.

I’m not sure if you ever found a leather case, but I saw one at the Burkley website that looks promising. They have it in brown and distressed brown.

Thanks for the link. I love P&Q but I’m just done with their adhesive. I like being able to go from folio to keyboard folio style cases depending on if I’m preparing notes or teaching from the notes. The adhesive drives me crazy. I noticed, a week of so ago, that P&Q had their new iPad Pro cases listed for sale in their overstock sale event. Which makes me think they haven’t sold like they expected. I would have preferred magnets. Even though the magnets may have not been perfect, they seems far better for my use case then the adhesive.

The link you posted seems to fit my needs! So thanks.

I had never used the adhesive, so I tried the Pad and Quill. It's a gorgeous case, but the adhesive drove me crazy. I shipped the return last week.

If you decide to go with the Burkley, please post and let me know what you think. Once I get my refund from P&Q, I may pick it up!

I sure like how the leather quality looks on the P&Q. The leather colors look fabulous. I like to think I know leather as I worked summers in a shoe factory many years ago. It is amazing to how poor the quality of some leather products are.

I watched P&Q video and can say without a doubt I would never try to use my Apple Keyboard Folio with it. That same video actually doesn't recommend it.

On the other hand I don't use my Apple Keyboard Folio as much as I thought I would. So I might take a chance on the P&Q when next payday rolls around.

Regarding whether to trust the P&Q adhesive. That is really a "sticky" question :p

[doublepost=1549732531][/doublepost]Does anyone have experience using the pad & quill oxford case at a steep “typing on the screen” angle? Is it possible? Stable?

Did you buy one of these? I noticed the photos of the brown and the dark red are completely different. However, they claim it is made for the 12.9" model (the latest one). Just wondering what you think of it if you bought one.

No, I haven't, but I'm strongly considering it. I was hoping someone here might have done so already.

I don't see a dark red one; am I missing something? That could look really good.

I was thinking about getting a brown one, but it's hard to distinguish these shades. Case in point: They have two models, the regular one and one with a flap for the pencil. The regular one comes in "Distressed Brown", and the one with a flap comes in khaki; however, they both look close to the same to me.
