My favourite two graphics apps for Mac OS X are Opacity and Acorn.

Opacity ( http://likethought.com/opacity/ ) is a vector-based graphics editor, and has lots of useful stuff in it, including 'Factories' which work like an automated export tool. It has a free 30 day trial, and a forum where the author is really helpful.

Acorn ( http://flyingmeat.com/acorn/ ) is a bitmapped graphics editor, and also has a trial.

Hope this helps.
Matt.

I have been using Canva for some time now, but the editing options are very limited. I often have to switch between Gimp (for transparency & gradient) & Canva (to put the final touches & adding text in images)
