Thank you for your feedback, this is all much appreciated. I will proceed in doing this again soon.

I dont think its a hardware issue related to the LCD. as I get an apple logo, text on screen(When i attempted to jailbreak). Im pretty sure the LCD is fine.
I will attempt to reset it again and try again in a few hours. Hopefully all will go well this time. I will keep you posted :)

Quick question again: so you recommend i create a custom firmware for 4.1.1 using iFaith and restoring in iTunes (in dfu mode)?? just to make sure i understood correctly. I think I have already created one of those here somewhere.

Yes, create a custom firmware with iFaith for 4.1.1 (blobs would already be available for 4.1.1 always)

But remember not to use just one you created before. Try and make a new one just in case, in my case, the first one I did for whatever reason had an odd size, so I created a new one the same way, and for whatever reason that one worked. These are small details most tutorials and people don't mention, and you find out by trial and error.

Use iTunes to restore that custom IPSW...

I'm assuming you used windows OS?

I cannot understand how this physical damage led to the phone not even booting at all. Could it be possible that some internal component was damaged and maybe that is why it is not booting? I was thinking of replacing the battery. Would it make any difference??

If you unplug it from the computer/wall does it stay on. If it does it may not be the battery.

Two thoughts come to mind. Logic board damage or someone did a firmware unlock on it, which will brick the phone.

it stays on yes. how did the logic board get damaged? there is no visible damage on the board itself. Only the display cover. Im going to reattempt a hardware reset. see how it goes

Quick question, should i restore to 4.1.1 or 4.1?i dont think 4.1.1 exists. just 4.1

Yeah, sorry, it's 4.1 for 3GS:

4.1.0 (3GS): iPhone2,1_4.1_8B117_Restore.ipsw

Yes, XP, Windows 7, and Windows 8, all in three different computers, all 3 freshly formatted, updated completely, no antivirus, and full admin privileges an all three.

All USB ports used were the ones on the back of PC's, and no USB 3.0 ports were used just in case...

After many many attempts and variations of attempts (I'm very stubborn), oddly enough, it worked on the XP machine.
