I just hope it has a backlit keyboard, a backlit keyboard and a backlit keyboard.
Beyond the backlit keyboard the only other thing I'd like to see is perhaps a backlit keyboard...and maybe a backlit keyboard if that isn't too much to ask.

+1
And it would also be cool if there was a light underneath the keyboard so it was illuminated from the back.

I am going to bet that Apple is going to do two updates. The obvious reason you alluded to earlier in that at some point the C2D will simply be unavailable. Being cautious about upgrades is usually wise, but I think that the gap from October 2008 through October 2010 was an isolated incident based on the gpu issue and working on the entirely due design.

Over the course of 4 months, the role of the Macbook Air and the 13" Macbook Pro have completely swapped. Before October, potential customers had to have a very compelling reason to purchase the Macbook Air instead of the Macbook Pro. I think now your average consumer really has to have a compelling reason to buy the Macbook Pro over the Macbook Air.

I think Apple really wants to make the Air their new mainstream notebook and will do everything to keep it updated.

Have to agree with you here... I am still waiting on an update on the processor for the MBA before I buy, and I don't see how people can make the argument that it won't be updated until 2012. There are no more C2D processors in development as of late last year. Apple cannot keep mass producing MBA's for a full 12 months with a processor that had production stopped in late 2010. This is why I am guessing that we will see some type of spec update either 1) (hopefully!) in June along with Lion, or 2) at the same refresh time this year in Sept/Oct
