Reviving a 5-year-old thread?

whoa that's weird. Sorry, seems its my fault and I have no idea how it happened - I haven't done a search in ages...I'm sure I just went through the current post list....??? :/

I've had great experiences with both new and refurbished Apple products.

I generally struggle with the pay-and-wait part of the refurb process. If I can find a good price on a new one, I'll go that route.

I usually upgrade only when my current equipment breaks, which means I need a replacement ASAP.

(Couldn't resist being part of a 5-year-old thread!)

I've had better experiences with apple refurbs (bought from apple store ) than buying new from apple (2-3 dodgy 24" cinema displays)

Go / watch out for a refurb - better than new IMO

I purchased a refurbished Apple 24" Cinema display about a year ago. It showed up in perfect condition minus the rainbow colors running through the screen from top to bottom.
Since the model was recently discontinued and Apple didn't have a display to replace the unit with they gave me a shiny new 27" Cinema display :D
