Yeah, but I'd like to think I was one of the first to order (6:50 PM central), and it's been in "prepared for shipment" since last night around 9 PM central. I'm guessing Fedex just hasn't gotten around to picking it up from the warehouse yet... Hopefully it'll ship by tomorrow and arrive by Saturday latest (I wanna play with it this weekend!)

Those damn Apple employees! Sounds like the online employees are as clueless as the in store ones. Sorry they didn't give you the correct shipping options. Hope you get it soon!

Ordered 2/7 in the AM, received it 2/8 at 5 PM. I order the 2 GB RAM/64 GB HD/ 1.4 GHz. I used it for a day, had a kernel panic screen and it shut down on me sporadically twice. Just running my computer per usual I got the fans full blast and had no ram. Called to return it via courier and get refunded. Just going to go to the store and buy a 1.4 GHz/64/4 GB ram.

When I purchased mine the shipping said 3-5 business days, but it arrived in 3 business days. I've always been lucky with Apple shipping me things faster than they estimate.
Out of interest, where do the shipments of refurbs come from? Is it domestic or from China?
I'm based in the UK and ordered a 11.6"/4GB/128GB/1.6ghz last night and it's showing as 6 days shipping - that makes me think it's coming from somewhere other than Ireland (I presume that as it's the European base, stock goes from there)?
Any ideas/experiences?

Yeah mines is coming from the same place. Im in California. Ordered it last Friday still not here. The UPS tracking number does seem to update at all. Its still says Departure scan for a statues. Hopefully I'll get it today.
Try calling UPS and getting a real person. Sometimes they have more accurate info.
Just talked to UPS. They said because of the weather conditions they have no idea when Im going to get my package. Its already been 7 days. The thing about it is UPS doesn't deliver on weekends and I'll be at work all next week, plus you need to have someone sign for it.
So basically I wont have my MBA for at least two weeks. This is crazy
While I was waiting for a 4 GB base model to show up, I was checking every hour for 2 days. I'd JUST missed it (disappeared from my cart while I was logging in) the last time it was in the refurb store. I then caught it 2 days later and ordered without hesitation.
However, I am still waiting on the notebook to get here. Fedex is saying delivery for tomorrow, but my university mailroom is only open till 1. If it gets here after that, I won't get it until Tuesday
(Fedex Home Delivery doesn't do Mondays). I might have to investigate picking it up at the Fedex location on Monday then..

I used http://www.refurb.me which works great at letting you know when the refurb store is re-stocked. Grabbed my 11" ultimate here in the UK that way.

another problem i just realized was how much tax us californians have to pay. 9.5% on top of 1529$ laptop. sucks!

In that case you might be better off buying from Amazon or other online retailer and avoiding the tax...
