if you have windows installed via bootcamp you might want to try out dvddecrypter or dvdshrink in windows.
those are two great programs for ripping dvds and removing region protection.

DVD Decrypter is one killer app that I couldn't live without :D

yep...one of the apps why I have still windows installed via bootcamp (and the games of course)

You took the words right out of my mouth, though I don't currently use Boot Camp I plan to for apps just like this, though I'm having trouble deciding which version of Windows to install; Vista is totally off the cards, so it's either XP Home or Professional x32-bit as I hear x64-bit doesn't work so well?

I have xp sp2 32-bit.
It's the most compatible version in my experience with 3rd party software.
vista is still too buggy for my taste and many apps that I need/want are still not vista ready.
so I'd def. recommend xp sp2 (professional or home doesn't make such a big difference in my opinion).
