Gotta be in it to win it
Still no response for your lack of outrage to Apple doing absolutely nothing about Error 53 and Touch Disease that effects way more users. Oh I just remembered, you guys are saying those issues don't end in an "explosion," so no harm done, and no need to be outraged at Apples lack of acknowledging the issue for its most loyal of followers. Oh but wait, there's a class action lawsuit, so there mudt be some harm done. Really sucks when you're dealing with a company that couldn't care less about the user experience is its loyal followers, and does it so openly. And then you gotta get in a class action lawsuit to even be heard. Meanwhile us Note users got an acknowledgement, an apology, aaaaaand a replacement. Wicked, just wicked.
Why should I have an "outrage" at Apple when I don't have an "outrage" at Samsung. As @Feenician said, just pointing out the continuing false equivalence that this was handled due to life and property loss (which ultimately leads to lawsuits) vs some minor inconvenience.

Not the repairman.11% of Apple Repairs are touch disease. And this problem can only be permanently solved by a Apple recall. They dont have anything to gain from this
Again what does this have to do with a Jeep explosion and fire other than a deflection?

They did something.Apple did nothing on a issue which affects millions of iPhone 6.I notice you have no response to Apple's lack of response on Touch Disease so we are going to continue bringing that up

I don't think the Execs at Samsung are sitting in a room caring about this currently.

In fact I'm pretty sure this is irrelevant within the walls of Samsung.

The Note 7 probably won't be a profitable product at this point given the recall costs and lost sales. In fact they are probably already thinking triaging and damaging control for Note 7, and internally have already moved on to the Galaxy S8.

Do you mean why it's common sense not to do those? If you live in an area with worse than national average property crime rate (68.1 vs 43.5) why risk getting both your new phone and Jeep stolen by leaving them unattended and running? Plus, story didn't add up since there was quick blame on the phone for the Jeep fire but it was left charging unattended inside? Also, Jeep has been subjected to recall for fire risk but left running unattended with AC load in hot weather and no moving air to prevent it from overheating? Another thing, if furniture was being unloaded why was it parked so far away from the house compared to his neighbor? Most people would park it closer in the shade so less manual work. Burn the Jeep without burning down the house?

What? Are you implying he purposefully incinerated his car? For what? Potentialy attempt a lawsuit? That's ridiculous. Not saying the Note did this, but i really doubt it was done on purpose.

Also, I live in Florida, just north of St. Petersburg where this happened, and routinely people here leave the cars a/c on because when you shut it off, the car cabin heats up very quickly and then takes a while to cool back off. And all cars have fans in the engine that turn on to cool it off whether it's parked or moving, I rountinly have lunch in my car, parked, with the a/c running and my engine has never overheated. And finally, you don't know what he was unloading, it could of been something long that wouldve required him parking further out from the house to have enough room to unload it from the back.

I also don't get all this comparison to Apple's touch defect. Do you think Samsung would be replacing people's Note 4's if they developed something like this after the warranty ended? I doubt it, only reason they were swift on this is because of the potential liability this would cause them. If the faulty battery was happening to the iPhone, apple would have to do the same thing too.

What does one have to do with another? The two can't even be equated as far as one being dangerous and one being a mere annoyance.

They are both problems. Yes the severity is different, one has potential for more harm, but that is not the only difference. Another difference is the response. Samsung has admitted the mistake and is fixing it and paying for it. Apple has blamed users and charged them for fixing problems.

But because they are different issues the responses can be different too. Who is to say what Samsung would do with the same type of issue that various Apple users are experiencing if it applied to various Samsung devices in a similar fashion? Who is to say they might not be doing essentially the same thing? We don't know, which is why bringing it all up in relation to the other doesn't really do or say much one way or another about either company (or anyone/anything else really).

So then it's justified bringing any and everything into the conversation even if the situation is far from parity?

I remember the Jeep fire and the following stories.

I also remember Samsung issuing a global recall for the Galaxy Note 7 on safety grounds due to incidents where it had caught fire and in at least one case where it injured somebody. It was unprecedented and the largest within the mobile sector in modern times.

It's great it wasn't the cause of the Jeep fire though. Has anybody got any marshmallows?

We don't actually know if it was or wasn't the cause. The report just states that it is "indeterminable". Doesn't mean the note 7 didn't cause the fire.

There was another galaxy note 7 explosion this time in Manchester.
