Noticed for a while now that Reminders is sending out 9am notifications for custom Reminders with a specified time.

The custom Reminder is Monday-Thursday, every week, at 5:20pm, but I’m also getting a 9am notification for every one of those days.

It started with IOS18, & I think it may be related to Reminders being mirrored in Calendar.

I’ve tried to disable mirrored Calendar Reminders & deleting/recreating the Reminder in Reminders….nothing changed.

The only way to stop it is to disable All-day Reminders, but then I can’t create All-day Reminders at all, as they’re muted.

Anyone else notice this?

I would just turn off "All day reminders". It just doesn't make sense. How can you be reminded for the whole day at 9 AM.

Am I missing something? Is there some other use of All day reminders?

Sadly Apple has been forcing features to be released every year with no thought to how it affects their foundational features. They make no sense.

I think it’s just a way to be reminded of something when you don’t have a need for a specific time - like a chore…you may need to reminded of it first thing in the morning, & if you don’t do it, then you push it out to later.

It’s also a way for Siri to place it on a day when you don’t mention a time, if that’s convenient for you.
