That's how it's supposed to be though. Can you toggle the percent meter on and off? Because that one is toggleable, the battery icon is always there.

No. Even when I set the battery percentage to "off", it still shows.

Hokay, but I'm just saying that if you had it set to on they both would still be there (even if your phone was working properly).

What does it look like if you have it set to off? Is there just a blank space where the % meter would be?

Mine's the same way...battery % meter is always on, plus my carrier logo is still custom like it was on my j/b 3G. I don't see what the problem is here...

Well now the only thing i can think of is for you to SSH into your phone and then find the Application folder. Each app will have a folder with a very weird long name. ex. "00D72899-027A-4640-A007-7C465E1E8B6C" is the name of the folder where Tap Tap is. That folder contains all the save data for that app, so just copy and paste it to your hard drive and then when a jailbreak for 3G S comes out you just SSH back into it and replace the existing folder with what you already have

If only there was a way to SSH into a 3GS right now...:)

Do you still have your 3G? You could SSH into that and copy all the data out.

Nope - I got rid of it already. That's why I was hoping that there might be a way to manually edit the backup and remove all jb data.
