Resolved Removing icons from the menu bar

Hello,

I cannot remove any icons from the menu bar, even while holding cmd and dragging it. Is there a specific place I have to release it? I’m on a M2 MacBook Air on macOS Ventura 13.2.1.

Is there a way to get rid of the shortcuts menu bar icon specifically from the menu bar?

To remove an icon, you have to command, click, and drag it out of the menu bar, and hold until you see a gray X appear next to it, then you can let go and it should go away.

Without Bartender I have a 2-meter-long menu bar
