Really? 99% of the population couldn't tell the difference between an iPhone and an HTC 10/Galaxy S7/LG v20, and you think anyone outside of boards like this will remember or even know there was a recall? Doubtful.

you think people will forget an exploding phone? highly unlikely

also, its exactly the same thing apple is trying to prove in samsung vs. apple case. they all copied the iphone, now nobody cant tell the difference.

i'm wondering would you say the same thing in that thread

How many Note related threads do people need? The Note 7 is done for now and that's it, no need to discuss why and what.

Samsung will release another Note, hopefully this time they'll take their time and make sure the R&D has their stuff covered. It's like when all that bend and antenna problems happened with Apple people talked about it endlessly and after a while it was forgotten.

If Samsung nails the S8 people will buy it regardless. Chances are it's going to wipe the floor with every 2016 flagship because Samsung needs an absolute beast they know it the market knows it.

Folks may indeed buy the S8 BUT I bet some would be leary to preorder an upcoming Samsung smartphone and take a wait and see approach.

So that is a hit on the manufacturer as far as I am concerned.

Has nothing to do with copying, and everything to do with brand recognition. Most people just think everything is an iphone. They don't know any better, nor do they care. That was my point.

I'm not going to debate with you about who is copying who.
