I had a question on how long it takes to receive a requested ipad if I requested it on Saturday morning?

If you pre-order an iPad on saturday from the apple website, you won't receive an iPad in your house till May 7th. That's when Apple Starts to ship Customers iPad's on the May 7th ship date. If you would have pre-order an iPad 2 weeks ago, prior to the announcement of the April 30th launch day, you would have received it on April 30th.

I was really lucky to get my iPad the day after i reserved one at the apple store. On Friday, at 7 pm, I reserved it, then got it on Saturday. I was extremely happy!
It almost seems like if you requested one on Friday your more than likely to get it on Saturday morning when the shipment comes for the weekend. For me I requested mine saturday morning around ten. So I'm hoping they will send me the notification email today. But I'm not sure of there is a shipment that comes in today.

I actually just sopke with my local apple store in Schamburg, IL and the guy said that they were getting shipments at noon, but then told me about the in-store reservation thing and said that most shipments now go to those who reserved it. Then i asked him if it would be faster to order it online or reserve it, and he was hesitant at first but then said ure better off reserving it because it's faster. SO will go to reserve it during my lunch break! lol. Or hopefully they have it in stock idk but anyways im excited.

Same here! I reserved it this past Friday around 5 in the evening, by 1 pm Saturday I was syncing it.

Ive been trying to get one since launch..
Thursday I reserved one and it still hasnt come.. It's getting to the point where I dont even want it anymore almost. Im so sick of waiting...
I'm in the same position. Reserved mine on Thursday and have been checking my email constantly.
My Apple store (Naperville, IL) said it could be 3-5 business days....
He said to call them if I dont have an email by Wednesday..

Why don't you order one online? Waiting since launch? I ordered mine on April 15th and received it this morning. Yeah I waited a bit, but I have it. If you would of ordered it at launch I guarantee you would have one, most likely for a few weeks now.
haven't got my email yet. going on to day three. anyone know anything about the oakbrook apple store? called the guy there but he said he has no information reguarding requested ipads and when there gonna come in. damnn haha hoping I could get some info.
Funny. Looks like all us Illinois boys are having trouble finding them...
Naperville, Schaumburg, and Oak Brook have been out since launch it seems like.
I just hope to god my reservation comes tomorrow. (been saying that for 3 days now)
i was on my way to chicago on saturday but when i called just to make sure they told me they were out. i almost feel like trying to reserve one there to see if i can get it faster. didnt geoman92 say that there was a shipment that came in at noon. i wonder what happened to them.
Naperville is kinda the smaller store outta the 3.. I was actually thinking of reserving at Oak Brook AND Schaumburg also.. I think you would get yours faster at those stores than I would at mine..

They told me today on the phone that Sunday is the only day they dont get shipments.(obviously)
I reserved Thursday at 6pm. Friday, Saturday, Monday- 3 days. Tomorrow would be the fourth. I would think it would have to be any day now. The guy even said if I dont hear anything by Wednesday to call back in.
This morning Naperville got the delivery right around noon also. Now I at least know if I dont hear something by noon then it probably wont be that day...
If you did it on Saturday I'd say your more on like day one. Sorry! I dont want to get you down but I bet Saturday didnt count if they already got the shipment that day. Sunday didnt count. Today would be the first full day of movement.
