I'm not sure why this thread isn't sticky'd but I have a request for any photoshop gurus. I can resize and crop photo's as long as they have a solid border, but I'm not good with gradients like this. If anyone can add to the border around these images so that the main portion of the character is always in view, I would be very grateful.

***Edit*** I decided to try my luck out with making my own, I'm sure there's an easier way to do it for your photoshop experts, but I ended up cutting out the character and then making a new gradient background at the same angle as the original but with the new dimensions. I'm personally happy with the results. I've only done one so far with two variations. If anyone wants to try it out for a more polished look, please be my guest.

Your attempts were pretty good. If you want them fixed, I'll fix them correctly for you. Do you want a different color/type of background on either of them? Do you want any text, etc. Please just be as detailed as possible with how you want them other than Retina resolution fixed and centered for optimal rotation.

Oh thank you but I'm actually happy enough with my own attempts. If you want to just for the hell of it for anyone else, then my goal was to have the same background and have it to where at the very least the characters heads are not chopped off when rotated into landscape mode and centered for optimal view on the lock screen. I don't care if the character name/number is still present. I'm not sure how much detailed I can be.
