I bought my Apple Watch Ultra at the perfect time in 2023. Right before the blood oxygen capability got removed. As tempted as I am to get an Apple Watch Series 10, I'm probably going to keep this until 2028 unless we get major feature upgrades before then.

I've been resisting an AW since their release because I couldn't get over the square face. I don't know if Apple is ever going to release a round face AW but a few weeks ago I tried to donate blood and discovered I'm experiencing heart failure instead. Cardiologist asked if I had a smart watch and that we could leverage the technology if I did. Still didn't want an AW until my heart monitor revealed I'm experiencing bradycardia, tachycardia, PACs, SVTs, and freaking afib on top of all this. All at the same time, resting heart rate climbing to 209, and I don't feel anything wrong...so AW Ultra 2 is now sitting on my wrist alerting me to when I need to head to the ER since my body isn't bothering to warn me :(

Anyway ended up with a black one. Incredible piece of technology. I feel like a kid again like when we all first got a calculator watch back in the 80s hah. My wife isn't going for one, though, since her watches are in the 25mm range and Apple seems to be going the other direction.

I love my black Apple Ultra watch. Was at a party the other night and everyone was asking about it and commenting how awesome it looked. Believe it or not, I paired with an $8 "running" watch band off of Amazon and it's perfect.

Well after previously returning the Ultra original due to the weight on my wrist, then buying again then returning for the same reason for testing..

I have purchased the Black Ultra 2 and gave the watch a long time to see if I still feel the same way, and I don't, and it's fantastic

What I would say to everyone who feels it's too 'weighty' on their wrist, definetely give it some time for you to adjust.

It's a fantastic watch, and the battery life is just the cherry on top!

Ppl say that the Black one IS lighter than the titanium sliver one. ;-). It’s also slimming.
