I got used to it very fast and it all seems very natural now on trackpad, but when i plug in my mouse it keeps working the same way with the scrolling wheel. Pretty annoying.
Yes, that Dashboard background is ugly and clashes with the other background being used. Hopefully they get rid of it and use the "canvas" background (have no idea what else to call it) for Dashboard, as it seems everything else is using it system-wide.I noticed this as well! It is the same pattern as what is behind folders on iOS and on the multitasking bar.
Did you also notice that the dashboard background has been carried over from when iOS 4 was first demoed. It showed this pattern as the folder background, which was promptly replaced, but now is back again!
No, I think Apple is quite adamant about not only having it, but having it on by default. Because trackpads that lack multi-touch cannot disable the feature at all.Thats just for the bounce effect, it doesnt have anything to do with scrolling orientation. I think when they do usability testing they will get rid of it completely, its just dumb. At the very least it will be disabled by default instead of enabled. It might not even be meant to be a feature on all devices, it could be for testing some new input device.
You're using a developer preview. The focus right now is getting major bugs fixed and features completed. Minor things like smoothing out animations will come much later.I already changed it back to normal. The scrolling system is worse in some other way as well, it is not as smooth as it used to be.
Trackpads that do not support multi-touch cannot revert to traditional scrolling. However, according to the known issues listed in the seed notes, it's a known issue, implying that a toggle is intended but simply wasn't ready for the released build.I use the trackpad of my early 2008 MacBook and this is what I see in my Trackpad Preferences (where I already looked right after the installation):

Am I blind?
It makes sense when directly touching the screen. It doesn't make sense when manipulating the screen indirectly.I was thinking the same thing when I first heard the scrolling was inverted, but honestly, I got used to it in a few hours and now it's just natural for me. If you think about it, it makes more sense.

I am aware of that. It's not the smoothness of scrolling which is fine but when you scroll, it does not "slide" like it used to. Like if I scroll in 10.6, I can lift my fingers and it's still "sliding". In Lion, when I lift my fingers, it stops scrolling. It's not that big deal but something I noticed immediately.
Where did you get the notion that iOS and Mac OS X are being merged? Lion is gaining some new features that were inspired by those in iOS, and nothing more.I am a fan of iOS, and a huge fan of OSX but the merging between the two doesn't seem right. Also, on all screenshots I have not seen any icon/items on the desktop. Are there any folders like in Snow Leopard available on the desktop.
It sounds like you have inertia scrolling turned off. Check your trackpad prefs.
