The one driver I still can't find is for the coprocessor. First off, why is it needed? What does it do? Where do I find it?

Try right clicking in Device Manager and clicking "Update Driver Software" for the coprocessor. I believe that is due to your chipset drivers, which you could theoretically install from the Boot Camp 4.x package in the "Intel" folder. In regards to the keyboard, I recommend that you manually reload the Boot Camp 4 keyboard driver manually.

There's many choices in there, and I don't want to screw up my otherwise perfectly functional Windows 10 install, so can you please instruct me on what to do exactly?

Did Device Manager not find any new drivers online when you clicked "Update Driver Software"?

That is correct. I don't feel comfortable just poking around with drivers, since my Windows 10 installation is nearly flawless.

Wouldn't the boot camp 4.x drivers interfere with the 6.x drivers that are already installed (for things like the keyboard?)

EDIT: My iSight camera is no longer functioning. I couldn't figure out which driver that would be.

@Dj64Mk7 I would not worry too much about the coprocessor driver. I would however install these two drivers and see if it resolves it. I pulled them right from the Boot Camp 4 installer.

I WOULD install those, but it's giving me the error about needing 64-bit versions of the installers. See the screenshot.

I already resolved this: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/windows-10-on-2009-macbook-air.1952462/

Do the Update Driver Software thing again but instead of searching online, try pointing it at the Bootcamp folder.

I tried to do this (using the Boot Camp 6 package provided previously), but Windows couldn't find a driver. Do I need to re-download the Boot Camp 4 package again? How would that even work, when Boot Camp 4 is throwing the previously mentioned non-64-bit error?

@Altemose and @agaskew Here's where I stand on my Windows 10 install:

- no driver for coprocessor
- iSight camera not functional
- keyboard unable to get passed time and date from about 30 seconds after being locked (have to use USB mouse, but can enter PIN just fine every single time)
- computer goes into hibernation automatically after being left alone for some amount of time (not desired behavior, occurred on Windows 7 as well)

I would try reinstalling the iSight and keyboard driver from the Boot Camp 6 package then and seeing whether that makes a difference. The hibernation issue could be (and probably is) a simple settings change in Control Panel.

When I install any of these, it gives me an error saying that the program may not have installed correctly.

I went ahead and installed the clearly-labeled 64-bit keyboard driver, but I can't tell which driver is the one for the iSight camera.

Did this resolve the keyboard issue? The one for the iSight camera should be called "AppleiSightInstaller.exe". However, it may of been renamed for "FaceTime" cameras so look under that name too.

Nope. Keyboard issue not resolved.

As for the hibernation issue, I can't find anything online. Would you mind helping me look into this, please?

In regards to the camera issue, here's what the driver list looks like:

You want to install "AppleCameraPre2015" and verify where it installs to. Then if it fails to update you should be able to force Device Manager to point to that driver. Here is some information on hibernation.
Thanks for both those resources. The iSight driver installed flawlessly, and I'll have to wait until the morning to see if the hibernation change worked or not. Do I need to worry about a driver for the coprocessor?

For the coprocessor, go to Device Manager and right click and hit "Update Driver Software". In the search, navigate it to the Boot Camp 4.0.4033 folder that you downloaded earlier and it should install the software.

I did that, and it worked. That leaves the keyboard issue. I went to Microsoft for help, and while the tech did his best, nothing fixed the issue.

EDIT: hibernation issue is fixed, once again leaving the keyboard issue.

Try uninstalling your keyboard then right clicking on it in Device Manager and pointing the "Update Driver Software" wizard to the Boot Camp 4.0.4033 folder just like how you fixed the coprocessor issue.

There's two keyboards listed in device manager (see the screenshot below). Which one do I replace?

Upon reboot it should use the generic PC layout driver, which you can then update with the drivers from Boot Camp 4.x. As a precaution, it
would not be a bad idea to have a USB keyboard handy.
EDIT: tried uninstalling and reinstalling both drivers, and the issue still persists.
I have no clue what to do at this point.

If I understand you correctly, I:
- uninstall BOTH Apple Keyboard AND HID Keyboard Device
- reboot my computer
- log into my PC
- there should be a driver listed
- do I point that driver to Apple Keyboard from 4.x?
- or should there be an Apple Keyboard driver already installed that I point to 4.x?

I'm really sorry for all my questions and uncertainty. I just don't want to screw up my computer

.

@Dj64Mk7 A workaround is to hit "Switch User" on the lock screen and see if that allows the keyboard to work. Try doing a PRAM and SMC reset (as a basic troubleshooting measure) as well as checking for the latest updates in Windows Update.

"...hit "Switch User" on the lock screen..."

The screen I've been talking about this entire time is the one BEFORE that, where it prominently displays the time and date. There are no buttons to speak of. [I don't mean to sound rude or condescending, but are you familiar with Windows 8/8.1/10, or versions of Windows before these, such as Windows 7?]

Anyway, creating a second user and switching to that user, then back to mine (so as to end up on the sign-in screen for my account) does not solve the issue.

I tried doing both a PRAM and SMC reset, and neither of those solved the issue, either.

We're quickly running out of things to try. Once again, I'm sorry for putting you through all this trouble.

I am a network technician but we do mainly work with Macs now. That being said, I do have some experience with 8.1 and if I recall correctly (I still use Windows 7 as a daily driver on PCs) you can click and drag the lock screen with the mouse. On that screen I thought there was a switch user button after you slide the screen up.

We squashed most issues so at least I have been of some help. It is just perplexing on what this issue could possibly be as it is not a widespread issue with Windows 10 or Boot Camp. Furthermore, I know a few people running Windows 10 on their 09 and 10 MacBook Pros without issue and I am getting some of my information from their experience.
