has anyone done this? Does it work in OSX? How about bootcamp?
Can't find much information on it.
Thanks a bunch
EDIT: Found out it will not work with OSX. Will it work with bootcamp on a Mac Pro?
RX 480 works in MacOS 10.12 beta. I have not been able to boot Windows 10 successfully with it in my 5,1.
I have no clue. I installed Windows 10 with both the original 5770 and RX 480 connected. However, Windows didn't recognize the RX 480 at all. The Crimson drivers could not be installed because it did not find a compatible card.
Single RX 480 and dual RX 480 works great in MacOS beta - no need for 5770. I used the 5770 in order to select the boot option during Windows 10 installation.
Seems so, and provided you have a flashed/original GPU for boot selection.

Thanks! I'm thinking about buying the 8GB version of this card and then use the standard Apple GPU to drive the screen. No boot screen but they work in MacOS Beta and Windows 10. I use BootChamp to switch to Windows.
One odd behavior I noticed was that I could not boot into MacOS when I have both 5770 & RX 480 plugged in. Windows 10 would boot but only recognized the 5770.
