The green lake sports band feels thinner and more flexible, sits on hole 3 instead of green 7 hole 2.
I noticed the size difference as well, but comparing last year‘s Storm Blue to this year‘s Plum, they appear to be the same size. Plum is a half gram lighter FWIW.

My guess is the taller watch causes the band to feel bigger, and the lugs may sit closer to your wrist as well with the thinner series 10?

Which plum is more true to life - the top picture or the scale picture? The photos seem quite different!

im in love with/ 10, jet black is the way to go, it looks like there is ZERO BEZELS when you use a dark watch face.
wide-angle OLED is also a game-changer for seeing the time in any position

I prefer the new bezel, but I mainly use faces with a black background.
Green 7 to Black 10. Not much difference. Size of letters / numbers / images is the SAME.

The green lake sports band feels thinner and more flexible, sits on hole 3 instead of green 7 hole 2.

I'm happy. The 10 mirrored my 7 so I did not even have to fiddle with settings.
We have gone the same way.

I received mine (46mm) today — upgrading from S7 (45mm).

Gotta say: I’m not a fan. It feels like I’m downgrading from a Pro to a Plus model. I can’t say I was looking forward to the larger screen in general, but I don’t really see the benefit. I feel like this is encroaching on “too big”, for me at least.

At this point, I’m glad my S7 Titanium still has AC+. I might hang onto it and get it replaced once the battery dips below 80%. But I would also consider the S9 SS model.

Edit: Another complaint — an mrat93 original: The light reflection off of the crown is very different from my S7. No matter what angle I look at it from, or light coming from any direction, the reflection off of the crown looks like an asymmetrical scratch.
Have you ever posted a positive comment on this website?

I don't mind the fact that the bezel appears larger to the eye but it is frustrating that  didn't take advantage of the larger screen by pushing the watch faces to the edge. Now a lot (for example my favourite the Typograph face) just have extra black surrounding them, making the issue seem much worse than it is.

Not an ideal comparison (9 v 10 would be more interesting), but for myself, something odd about the way the Series 10 sits and looks. Tried to get pics at as similar angle as possible.

And of course, its very subjective and personal preference.

Agreed. There appears something peculiar with the proportions. As you say it's subjective, but I returned mine in favor of an V9.

I don’t even understand why some of you buy Apple products. Is it just to bitch about them on the internet? I didn’t even notice there was a “problem” with the bezels until I read this stupid thread. And I think i want those 2 minutes of my life back. Some of you need to learn to enjoy life. People here literally crying about a millimeter. Gotta be kidding me

Not even a milimeter…

The black bezel is now almost 2 millimeters thick, up from about 1.7X. So we're talking about 0.3 mm or less…

And all this taking into account that the sum of black bezel and metal bezel has decreased and that the screen-to-body ratio has increased from approximately 81.6% to 84.6%.

Deffo feels that apple are doing some “sleight of hand” claiming the biggest display. The display crystal/glass is indeed the biggest, but the display area isn’t. If you look at the official resolutions, the S10 display area is 6 pixels taller than the Ultra 2, but the Ultra 2 is 6 pixels wider than the S10.

Per the specs, the S10 display area is the biggest. Not by much, but still.

Just grab a ruler and measure the screens.

Series 10 screen is about 2 mm wider and barely higher.

I don't understand how people can drown in a glass of water like this.

Yes but look at the pixel counts. So either they are referring to the glass/crystal being bigger and the displayable area is the same, or the pixels are bigger on the S10 which would potentially reduce clarity.

Do the math, the S10 has also more pixels.

410 x 502 = 205820
416 x 496 = 206336

What I (and Profets?) are referring to is the size & shape of the model 10 - really nothing to do with the bezel, so maybe it shouldn't even be in this thread. But it's like the watch has become too wide/flat and I don't like how it looks or wears. Purely subjective, but then isn't everything?

How many people do you figure can discern the difference between 329ppi on the S9 vs 330ppi on the S10 and 335ppi on the U2? (#s calculated from display area and pixel counts, assuming square pixels)

I think what was throwing me off was coming from the Ultra where I quite liked the large chunkier look of the case, and having the titanium quite visible all around, including a relatively big bezel.

However, I do have to say that after wearing the S10 for a week, I do appreciate the size / thinness of it now. The thinness definitely grew on me and it gives it a pretty elegant look in my opinion.

However I think I’m going to stick with the Ultra. Found myself missing that larger look and after using the S10 for some time I do find myself preferring the flat display on the Ultra. Going to hold on for another year and hope that a nice update comes to the Ultra (hopefully they can increase the screen and reduce the black bezel, that would be awesome).

I saw a fragment from 2021 Apple Event and in it they talk about that 1,7 mm black bezel.

So… yes… We are literally talking about a difference of 0,3 mm or maybe 0,29 mm… It’s just hilarious.

6,7%-9,4% bigger screens on 46-42 mm sizes, around 3% better screen to body ratio and some people can't see beyond that 0.3mm increase…

And yes, I will be the first to get the Series 13 when it gets a redesign again.
