It appears Apple has killed ad blockers in Safari 13. I can't get any of them to work.
I also saw an article posted today on ZDNET about this issue.
Has anyone upgrade to Safari 13 and have an ad blocker work?

AdGuard works fine.

Is there
Got 12.1.2 back.

Recovery mode > Wiped internal drive using Disk Utility > Reinstalled Mojave > Migration Assistant from a back up drive, backed up using Superduper , which I luckily did not update with Safari 13.

Is there a way to do it without wiping my hard drive and reinstalling my operating system?

I think this is the only way. Can't think of anything else.

Tried Restoring the app from Time Machine but got an error that the app can't be modified as it is required by MacOs.

I did an update to Safari 13. Turns out the Safari Extension for 1Password (version 4.7.3), that goes with the older version of 1Password, version 6.8.9, is not compatible with Safari 13. So if you've stayed with the older version rather than move up to 1Password version 7, be warned.

I was able to get back onto Safari 12 and a working extension. I'm not sure if I'll upgrade 1Password finally, or move to some other password manager.

Wish I would have followed my usual procedure of checking MR before installing any updates.

I have been a 1PW user for years and this is really frustrating. I am one of the people who use the previous version (I am not on the monthly plan) so from my perspective, this really seems like they are forcing me into considering “upgrading” to 1PW 7. I don’t need new features, don’t want my UI/UX to change, and certainly don’t want to pay them $5/mo. for things I could care less about and frankly, I am sick of it.

I will checking out other solutions.

> End rant.

So I was very reliant on some obscure extensions and they're gone. I also used a ublock version from GitHub and that's gone too. What a ****** update.

1Password 7 is still available as a one-time purchase or upgrade.
Yes, I found a post over on AgileBits' 1Password forum https://discussions.agilebits.com/discussion/106771/1password-6-in-safari discussing that 1Password 6 won't be working in Safari 13. It was posted weeks ago, so it wasn't like they were hiding it. I just wasn't aware that Apple would be getting rid of Safari Extensions and going to using App Extensions instead (I think that's right). I've learned so much this week.

I'll probably update to 1Password 7, but I'm going to wait a couple of weeks to get more updated backup copies available from my weekly backup cycles. Just in case.

No iCloud syncing (tabs)...(it's gone in iOS 13 as well)
iCloud sync just started working (no idea why) for Safari 13 and iOS 13 Safari only

...does not sync with my iPad Pro on the latest 12 release (no 13 for it yet) or my other Mac on Safari 12 or my iPhone 5s or 6.

iOS 12 devices see all icloud tabs on Safari 12, Safari 13, and iOS 13

Adblock plus works fine.
The icons in 'favorites' view got bigger which is pretty ugly.

Works one way only here, (History shows up on my Mac, but no signs of it in the iPhone XS)

Hope iOS 13.1 will fix it tomorrow

Same here

I'm having issues with reference links # Clicking them do not work reliably.

anyone else?

like on another forum when you click the arrow to jump to a post quoted it doesn't work. it's working on this site but the jump isn't a # link it seems to be a function

Safari hangs on certain drop down menus. Looks like a known issue.

Generally the stability has been worse than 12, however 12 did have its own issues too.

p.s. I just noticed that some uploads don't work. For example in GMail.

Downgraded to Safari 12 for the time being.

Safari 13.0.1 out...still only syncs iCloud tabs with iOS 13 devices. Will install iPad OS later, and see if that allows my iPad to sync.

What happened to Quit?

I am on Mojave 10.14.6 with Safari 13 (14608.1.49) and the "Quit Safari" is printed lightly is not selectable from the Menu Bar. Quit is still selectable from the Application Doc but Safari does not exit, even with all windows closed. Does this happen for everyone?

Apparently another bug. After doing a force quit of Safari I can not quit from Menu bar, and selection appears normal from the pull-down menu.

There is an update out now, but the description doesn't seem to address the issues that we are having:

Safari 13.0.1

The Safari 13.0.1 update contains feature improvements as well as privacy, security and compatibility enhancements and is recommended for all users. This update:

• Includes an updated start page with Favorites, frequently visited, and most recently visited websites

• Provides a warning if a weak password is typed when signing in to a website and helps to upgrade it to a strong password

• Adds the ability to enable Picture in Picture from the audio button in a tab

• Enables jumping directly to an already-open tab from the search completion list when the website address is typed into the Smart Search field

• Adds support for authentication using USB security keys on supported websites

• Fixes an issue that prevents signing into Google in Internet Accounts in System Preferences

Does anybody have a .pkg of Safari 11.*.* for High Sierra?

I believe there is a chance to downgrade it. You only have to get SIP disabled to do it and then re-enable it again.

Try doing a restart. First thing I do if things get wonky is a restart of the Mac, and that usually fixes things, or tells me I need to dive deeper into the problem.

Sync still only works with '13' devices..eg Safari 13 on Mac, iOS 13, iPad OS 13.....

iPhone XS with 13.1.2, iPad with 13.1.2, macbook Pro with 10.14.6.

Tab sync no problem, history sync only works between iPhone and Macbook. iPad only one way, means, history from iPad is syncing to iPhone and macbook, but not vice versa. :(
