Hello everyone,
i'm disapointed also, i usually use this the Activity monitor in Safari, to see wich element is causing stalling on web paged i created, but now in ML, no way to retrieve this function...
Someone have said on the post we can do the same thing with Safari Inspector... Can you explain how to do this ? i haven't found the way to do it...
If not, did it exist any way to do the same thing in Safari or Firefox ?

Many thanks
Cedric

The window activity is one of the key reasons why I have a mac and now they removed it! Disappointed! :(

Is there any good solution as I download videos not just from Utube but also from other websites.

Finally I found a solution for those of us wanting to download FLV files from about any websites. Go download http://asia.real.com/?mode=rp_mac

The new RealPlayer SP version for Mac has a new Safari Plug in (called Safari download agent) - it opens a small window VERY similar to the one found in Safari 5 - it has the direct option to download about any FLV file in the foreground window.

Hope that helps. :)

Additional plugins means additional security risks. Do not use use Safari plugins, if not really necessary!

YouTube videos downloaded in "Activity" usually in stand definition FLV format. By using some YouTube downloader tools, you can download HD 1080/720p YouTube videos in much faster speed.

According to techisky, there is no other way to download YouTube videos on Safari 6 (activity windows is removed from Safari). To download YouTube videos in FLV, even 1080p/720p MP4, one can install FastestTube Safari Extension.

Here is the detailed solution:

Actually the activity window isnt entirely gone. I dont know about youtube videos - haven't tried that yet, but it works with any other flash video.

You go into the web inspector (Develop -> Show Web inspector - or alternatively alt+cmd+i) and chose the "resources" window (thats the first little symbol that looks like a page). then expand the first option (should be the name of the page you're currently on) and then go to "Other". On the righthand side there should be something called "Full URL". simply copy that link (Usually .flv or .mp3 or .mp4) into your download thing in your safari toolbar (or paste it in a new tab) and there you go, it should start downloading.

It's important that you open up the web inspector before you start the flash video, ie before you click on "play".

Edit: sorry almost forgot about this. you also have to add the "develop" menu to safari first (duh!). Go to Safari preferences, then to Advanced and tick "add develop menu to the menu bar" (or something like that).
