2....I have an Apple Airport Extreme, latest model :

I have my suspicions that it is my wireless router because Safari is much faster at work in their network.
The only thing on my macbook that is sluggish is Safari and Chrome is working fine. If it weren't I'd be replacing my wifi router.

We need a detective to eliminate possibilities of hardware/software glitches because I see the day soon when Yosemite is released and problems persist for some.

While it's definitely smoother and faster, my biggest issue since day one DP1 is clearing history. Previous versions had one simple choice, clear all. Now, we have "the last hour", "today", "today and yesterday", and "all time". "all time" clears everything, more than previous versions, including logging you out of every site you're in, removing notification settings, requires the user to re-verify bank accounts on their Mac's - not one thing is left behind. History should be simply websites visited, not wipe out all data.

Many bug reports have been filed, most recognized, but if this is the norm, I'll be using Firefox as my standard browser for the first time in over a decade.
This. So much this! It drives me mad having to log in to websites every day, reauthorize bank site, lose my saved subreddits on reddit, etc etc etc. I love Safari, but if this 'feature' continues in the final build I will move on to a different browser.

I realize it is a beta but Safari experience has been god awful in beta 1 and beta 2. Slow, often unresponsive, loses connection to Internet, etc. It happens on a variety of websites (ESPN, Macrumors) as well.

Anyone else experiencing really bad Safari issues? No issue with Chrome which is back to being the default.

Yup. Half the time, I don’t get a browser window. The icon bounces in the dock, but no browser window opens. The other half of the time, Safari crashes before it even gets fully loaded.

What a hunk of crap.

Safari on Yosemite has been hit or miss for me. It is definitely faster and pretty stable, but some webpages (especially with lots of images) tend to fail occasionally.

I am not impressed.

Safari is acting funny, slow, some features (scrolling for example) are clunky), Amazon Kindle won't load, and the computer keeps changing personality.

I don't like some things, wonder why I volunteered, and wish I hadn't.

Well this is interesting. I'm having Safari issues too on DP7.

When loading Apple.com its like i'm running Dial-up. I have 48mb connection.

I'm definitely ruining into Safari issues, and I'm on a late 2013 rMBP.

Amongst other things:

- Facebook will log me out after about 10-15 minutes, every time my screen goes to sleep pretty much.

- Parts of Facebook will randomly be unclickable. Videos won't play when clicked, or pictures won't pop up when clicked. Page will have to be reloaded or Safari would have to be restarted for things to work right.

- Browser would randomly be unresponsive.

- Loading pages will sometimes feel like dialup speeds.

When it works, it works great, but then these issues pop up more frequently than they should.

Strange. I thought Safari on PB1 was slow when others said it was faster. PB2 is night and day difference for me. None of the problems you are experiencing.

I only have 4GB of memory and a standard 500GB hard drive. This is my daily driver.

It was the snappiest its ever been for me in pb1 but in pb2 it struggles to even load a page that contains more than a couple of gifs.

I'm just getting used to Safari ahead of the Yosemite release (want to take advantage of new features) so hopefully it runs smoothly at release.

Beta 2 here and Safari's amazing for me. I mean, I thought it the best looking browser on OSX anyway. Now I find it the best browser period! Except for adblocking but I'm willing to suffer a few YouTube pre-rolls for such an epic browser.

Fast as any other browser out there if not a tad faster. Only browser that looks right on Yosemite, the new way they handle favourites is epic and searching is fantastic.

Safari is a total WIN in Yosemite!

Safari working just brilliantly for me!

I'm running the Yosemite Beta 10.10 on a partition on my iMac - have had no problems so far whatsoever. And Safari is definitely snappier :) than on mavericks! it's also a very clean design and doesn't interfere with one's browsing experience. I've used Firefox in the past with mavericks, but will be using Safari from now on!
