Safari is even better on DP6

I havent noticed a speed increase yet but then I'm a starbucks lol. But if you've used Chrome64 then they have their work cut out for them cause that browser is insanely fast.
For me its extremely slow and 600% more cpu craving than in Mavericks
Other than that Safari is slow, I love it (few small things i dont like, for example the small URL bar). I look forward to the Release in October.

And they made the Tab View animation super fast and lag free. Now they just have to make pressing Enter on the Tab View search field go to the tab, and I'll be a happy camper

Yay, it doesn't crash upon launch like it did with DP5 !
On the other hand, bug free ? Just 2 seconds in, I put in my 2 new Google Chrome favorites back into Safari manually, and then I try to rename one, and the popup window won't do anything if I click OK.
The UI performance has increased significantly. Scrolling is buttery smooth on my 2012 rMBP. And it also seems as if the websites are loading somehow faster.
P.S. The UI responsiveness has vastly improved for the entire system for me. Most actions that used to have an initial lag (Mission Control, Spotlight) are now pretty much instant. And the App Store seems to resize two times faster now Although its still abysmal. At any rate, it seems that they have finally figured out how to work with HiDPI desktops efficiently.

And yet on my MBA, it's usually so slow. I don't know what's up with everyone saying Chrome is so good.
Some people have had performance issues with Safari, which now seem to be mostly gone. New tabs now open instantly, scrolling doesn't stutter even with multiple heavy pages open, bookmark folders open instantly, switching desktops is smooth, etc.
And the address/search field is automatically active on new tabs/windows, so no more Cmd +L every time you open a new tab!
I know, right?
Bu it opens up so slow. The only upside is that when it gets the pages loaded, they're completely loaded.
Edit: What I mean is that Safari occasionally opens a page piecemeal, small bits at a time. Chrome open it all at once, just sits there loading until it does.
Sound like your machine as an issue. Is it Safari or Flash on top of Activity Monitor? Some webpages use unreal amounts of Flash resources.
Nope, it is not a problem on mavericks so I'm 100% its a Yosemite bug. Im not saying its bad because i understand its a beta. I love Apple!!

Both are fast!I am still noticing in DP 6, even after a clean install, Safari has a small delay between clicking the new tab button and the new tab actually opening. This has been going on through the Yosemite previews? Please tell me everyone else knows what I'm talking about.
oh, I know exactly what you are talking about, it is a long story way before Yosemite. In mavericks, if you left click on a link and the link itself opens in a new tab, you will see the delay, but if you right click the link and select "open in a new tab", the link will open in a new tab instantly.
So I think if you left click something (even a new tab button), safari will take few seconds to "think" if it is gonna open a new tab for you, but if you give a direct order safari will pass it and response more quickly for you.
