The only annoyances i have with Safari is with tabs. They're too big and the shadowing doesn't make the selected tab feel any different from the other tabs. I hate that.

I actually find the new hued Safari progress bar very pleasing. I am not bothered by the slight flashing. they may tone it down a bit in later revisions, though.

The progressbar has not changed as far as I can see.

The small loading spinners from the safari tabs are gone, though, and I hate that! I loved them, on a slow connection I could just open multiple tabs and see which one was loaded first by the disappearing spinner. Also, on pages using a lot of ajax (eg Facebook) you could see it was loading something. Now when I click an ajax link it seems like nothing happens at first.

I agree and can confirm it really is the case. What a STUPID change, especially when you open several tabs and want to know which ones have finished loading.

Loading page is faster with the new Safari under ML. It feels speedier. The blue progress bar is a bit garish but I don't mind at all.

They also disappeared in Mail :(. They used to be there next to a mailbox name when it was getting new email.

I think it looks good and gives me a good feel when navigating through pages. Probably in a minority here though.

I have switched over to using Safari exclusively thus far. Switched from Chrome. I'm liking the feel, at least on my Macbook with the trackpad. I'm using it on my MacMini but, not digging with a mouse.

I'm currently looking for a trackpad for the MacMini.

I love the new Safari - it looks much more modern and FINALLY has the a combined address/search bar! The blue progress bar is pretty cool too.

Same here, even after updating it to version 6 under Lion. Probably the complaint is because the progress bar runs now over a much longer path...

I think the new progress bar is only present if your running Mountain Lion, I am using Safari 6 in Lion and it is the same progress bar it has always been. Here is a Youtube video of the "new" progress bar.

I don't like the bar, way too much of a windows feel for my taste.

This. It clashes horribly with Aqua imo. Adding a Windows-esque UI element is quite a surprising move, might we be starting to see the effect of Steve Jobs' absence? :(

I agree totally. The new Safari bar on Mountain Lion is an annoying and distracting nuisance. Why every new page and reload should aggressively draw my attention to the address bar?

This is one of the features that hasn't been made for the users but to satisfy developer's ego.

Frankly, I'm not a fan of Safari at all. My main browser is Firefox and Safari is only a secondary one, which I use once in a while - but the new progress bar renders it totally unusable to me. I need to check Chrome as a secondary browser.

I submitted feedback to Apple with exactly the same rant, but don't hold my breath really.
