Low quality? As opposed to what? How do you quantify quality?

As far as I've read, there's nothing low quality about them.

Low quality compared to any other pair of headphones sold at the same price point from a proper professional audio company? You realise $200 Solo HDs cost $14 to produce right? They're utter crap. You can buy Sennheisers that a superior quality of sound for $20.

So you've tried and tested the Level Overs then?

I have a pair of Sennheisers, they're okay.

You are implying the Samsung headphones are low quality but expensive, but I'm guessing you haven't even tried a pair, let alone seen them.

Again, how do you quantify quality?

Samsung announced these in April... Apple announced the Beats talks in May... who copied who here?
Indeed, neither did.

----------

If any of you think Apple bought Beats for their crappy headphones, think again. Everyone has been pretty open about it being more about the music subscription service, not the products.
That appears to be lost in most discussions I've found. I am sure Apple and Beats will get together at some point to launch a product but yes the initial purchase was for the Beat subscription service primarily. :)

These discussions are funny, just like some kindergarten-kids :D
Everybody who is familiar with the korean culture and knows about the big culteral differences, does not wonder about a company like Samsung. For decades it has been in some asian countries the biggest hornor you could give to a company when you copied their product! 10 years ago it has been much more easy to see this even on the streets. There have been so many "fake" Mercedes, BMW, and so on cars on korean streets. Now it got better, but still you will find a lot of copied details on korean cars. Some do have the front from a european car, the lights from a american car and the back from a japanese car....
YES Samsung IS a copycat company and they are doing a lot of products, not just phones, cameras and computers, but they started to develope more and more own stuff....unfortunatelly they fail pretty often and if there is one thing they really suck at it is software :D
Just don't buy corean copycat products....it's all about the price nowdays...:(
Buy local as much as possible

...just my thoughts.

Most firms copy others to some extent. Doesn't bother me in the least, it just gives me a choice. I buy the one that in my opinion is the best for the best price. Doesn't everyone do this? Or do they pay more for an inferior product because they only buy their tech gadgets from one company? Isn't that a little bit silly?

Exactly.....i think they call it market evolution or something like that. Todays new and groundbreaking features become tomorrows standard features. It is good for consumers.........

I was referring to Beats not Samsung. Not yet tried Samsung's headphones but they will absolutely be overpriced for the sound quality they provide I assure you.

I came to this topic just to see if somebody was going to accuse Samsung of copying Apple, and how soon.

I wasn't disappointed.
