I have the PlayBook. Just incredible. I'm very happy with it. :) I was even happy with the PlayBook OS v1 despite the reviews, but v2 is definitely a bit better.

V2 is defenitely a selling point in my opinion.

I'm not a fan of Android on tablets, but it'll definitely serve many people's needs. And aesthetically, I think they look quite good. It'll only be a matter of time before sales pick up.

They're all evolving. I'm very curious to see what Boot to Gecko turns out to be.
Despite what we can read from the many Apple fans in this forum, iOS competition is growing quickly, and are sold in cheap devices while maintaining a lot of attractiveness.
I don't like monopolies. :)

Even v1 was a selling point. It had the best UI of all the tablets. Version 2 didn't really change that. There are several improvements, but they're small, IMO.

The primary complaint was regarding the lack of a calendar and mail app? Don't worry, I used my browser instead. I need internet access to check email anyway, even with an app. ;)

And my web surfing experience was better than it was on an iPad. I could go to any site and have a trouble-free online experience. I can browse Flash sites and every other site my laptop could visit. It just works.

I've seen it multiple times. I've also seen it used like an iPod. Ridiculous.

Personally, I don't think the Samsung tablets are that bad, especially the smaller 7-inch one.

depends how it is done. I have used my galaxy tab as a music player before but that was because I was also using also working at a desk at that time studying. I would use it to look stuff up every now and then so it was just easier to stream Google music with it at the time.

But yeah carry it around to use it as a solo music device I would find stupid.

What I don't get is why *some* Apple fans are so mentally ill as to need to trash other companies 24/7. Can someone explain me this? I know some of these people in real life and it's creepy.

Curious as to what you must therefore think of people using an iPad as a camera.

There is now a real estate app that allows a listing agent to go through the home taking all the needed photos with the iPad and making notes. When they are done, the listing is up on the net. Takes much less time to gather all the info and photos, crop and color balance the photos and list the property and move it to the web than anything else out there.

I agree that the iPad may be the wrong device to use in place of a DSLR camera, but it can do much more when gathering information AND connecting it to photos. Realty, crime or accident investigation come to mind, but I think you will find the iPad being used as a camera has its place.
