I was initially club matte black but have gone with the silver colour on the latest purchase.. my first non black handset in years.. really enjoying it!

I tried one on my old Note 20 but found it allowed light from the flash to effect photos, light in general actually.

I've been getting really good battery life on my S21 ultra. Been getting over 7 hours screen on time with about 20% battery life left when I come to charge it.

Like you I held off as long as I could but I picked one up yesterday. I've been due an upgrade for a few months now and finally caved - got the black 256gb one.
Not had a full day yet but so far I'm hopeful for good battery life with full resolution and 120hz!
Least Apple are working on it and sounds like it’s 1-2 years away. Hopefully what they are working on is the Continuous zoom if they are then I don’t mind waiting.
I love the zoom on the ultra but anything past 30x is just basically cool and not that useful so if this can be same quality from 5x, 10x, 30x that will be great
30x zoom is better than 2.5 x zoom. I'm glad apple are working on it and I'll likely get the iPhone next year. However it doesn't mean I won't enjoy it on another device until that time. Now that I've used it I don't think I can go back to not having it if I only had an iPhone.
My battery life is wonderful right now. I'm getting over 7 hours screen on time with at least 20% battery left at the end of the day. I'm using the exynos version. I also got 256GB black. I agree 120Hz is so smooth. Everything just glides. Split screen apps, quickly moving between apps. The phone handles it all as if its nothing.

The zoom is a massive reason I got the ultra that plus 120hz. Sounds like you will be keeping this then

Putting the black one back up to full price made my decision easier. Really don't like the silver, especially the shiny silver bezel.
No the silver wasn't an option for me either. So the sale on the phantom black didn't last long then.
