I recommend against this. Tasks managers that are configured to auto kill apps can potentially lead to worse battery life. Android's resource manager would get confused by apps that are constantly killed by an app killer.

Here is a thread that explains why: http://androidforums.com/android-applications/335110-why-you-dont-need-task-killer.html

You can pose your question on the Android forums. There is a thread for your specific phone.

I manually kill running background apps. I never had problems with Task Manager from Google Play. Battery life for my phone increased significantly.

I only ever had to use a task killer once. There was some rogue app that was constantly draining the battery. Once I killed all, the battery life returned to normal. I don't use it at any other time.

For me, the biggest battery life improvement I experienced was when I upgraded from Froyo to Gingerbread. Other than that, I have not done anything other than let the Android memory manager handle everything.

Out of curiosity.. what Android phone are you using (or did you use)?

I'm using a Sharp Sh7218u... It's rooted but I'm still on froyo :(

People post iPhone questions on the Android forums as well.

But i rarely see something of this type.

Phone comparisons is one thing. This question would be better asked in XDA to be honest. And the OP would also get better answers.

Would you ask why your PS3 is acting up in an Xbox 360 forum?

There are obvious better places to ask such a question. Still, I think the OP got some decent answers and advice regarding other places to pose such questions.

Questions about iPhones and BlackBerrys are also rare on Android forums, but they do get decent answers there as well.
