Samsung is baiting Apple to sue them

And the point is? they are both rectangles, and the iPhone is the one that copied this time with going up in screen size. I don't look at androids and think that they are iPhones, but with the 6 and 6+ I'll see people with them and initially think they are android phones.

Honestly, saying that the matching of the size of a screen, like 3 years later is "copying" sounds really ridiculous. And yes, obviously mimicking the look and feel, is what copying truly is. Smh

The phone I posted came out 2 years before the iPhone 6. And gee, the iPhone 6 looks very similar to it, right down to the slight curve at the edge of the glass. Maybe Apple is baiting Samsung into suing them

Back on point, I think they were mocking the people queuing (ie Apple customers) suggesting the improvements on the new model were mediocre things such as a re-siting of the headphone jack, not that the position was a mistake.
You could say Apple STOLE the idea of the curve design from samsung (which I doubt) from a 2 year old model. But clearly the S6 was influenced heavily by the iPhone 6 with the headphone jack and speakers holes on the bottom. Did I forget to mention samsung now traded expandable memory, replaceable battery for aluminum case and glass?
Oh puhleeeez. If anything, all of your posts have proven so far is that if this was the other way round, you'd be adamant that Samsung copied Apple. Oh, wait, you already are...
By the way, if Apple sued over this, chances are it'd be thrown out of court pretty much straight away. And why would Samsung WANT Apple to sue them? What sort of sense does that make other than absolutely none at all?

There's been so much evidence of samsung copying apple in the past, how do you explain the 132 page internal memo? There are some die hard samsung fanboys in here.

In the past. Which has already been settled. Samsung paid up. This isn't the past anymore. I'm not a die hard Samsung fanboy, I don't even like Samsung products that much. All I'm stating here is what I see as the truth. It looks like Apple copied Samsung's designs this time around.
Actually, I don't even like to use the word 'copied'. As I said previously, all phones look pretty much identical nowadays anyway. Big screen, few buttons on the side and one under the screen. Innovation first requires inspiration, and important fact I feel many posters on this forum need to understand. Even the original iPhone copied elements of other phones that already existed. A truly original idea that hasn't been influenced by actions of others is a very rare thing.
and to answer your question, samsung has been known to bait companies to sue them to waste all their resources and money in courts while they continue using patents that's not theirs.

You're right, it happened in the past, why would a company known for copying and using patents that's not theirs continue to copy great ideas (not just from apple, but any company), you're a genius.

Even if Apple weren't making any money, they'd probably have to drag the court case out ten years before Apple began to see trouble.
But as previous posters have already proven, Samsung haven't copied anything design-wise this time. The S6 design is clearly based on a previous Samsung phone.

I was making a point that Samsung is known for using other people's patents and countersuing since you brought up the question on why Samsung would bait Apple into suing them.
Agree to disagree, there are people that thinks the S6 was influenced by the iPhone 6, from the speaker grille to the charger port, headphone jack, no more removable battery or expandable microSD card slot. Samsung Pay is a nice touch too.
This. I have my 6+ which I love. And I also plan on getting the GS6 Edge. The thing is beautiful. Oh damn, guess I can't post here anymore.
Isn't that where the whole industry is going? No removable battery, bigger storage so no need for a SD slot. How many places can you put a headphone jack or speaker? The only one I know that has front facing was the HTC One. Look at the back of the S6 does it look anything close to the iPhone 6?
The S6 is the result if you took an iPhone 4 and iPhone 6 and mash them together. It's one thing if you take an idea and make it something original from it, but they literally ripped off a DESIGN of another product. The back looks like an iPhone 4 with the exception of that ugly camera sticking out in the middle.
What about the (new) white earbuds of the new S6? Can you tell by looking at the 4 pictures at a glance which are samsung and which is apple?
