Samsung Pay Card is a new Mastercard debit card from Samsung, launched in the U.K. this week.

Powered by London-based fintech Curve, it lets you consolidate all of your other existing bank cards into a single card and digital wallet, making it easy to manage your money and, of course, use Samsung Pay more universally.

Samsung Pay Card users will also get access to other Curve features. They include a single view of your card spending that is entirely agnostic to where your money is stored, as well as instant spend notifications, cheaper FX fees than your bank typically charges, peer-to-peer payments from any linked bank account and the ability to switch payment sources retroactively.

In addition, as an introductory offer, Samsung Pay Card users get 1% cashback at selected merchants, and exclusive to the Samsung Pay Card, can also earn 5% on all purchases at Samsung.com. This is making it harder for me to skip the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra!

I think this is a great addition to the UK Samsung ecosystem allowing all British Visa and Mastercard users to use Samsung Pay.. unfortunately no Amex support but that's a battle for another day.

Nevertheless, I have already signed up and set it all up (was a breeze).. what do fellow Brits think?

Over here
Revolut, Starling and so on, they offer a better package, the only real stand out benefit is 5% at Samsung if you value that.

So those on natwest it will work for contactless payment?
Yes, I'm sure all Visa and Mastercard will now be compatible with Samsung Pay through Samsung Pay Card.. this is indeed a game changer.

My Halifax Clarity wasn't working on Samsung Pay ealrier due to Halifax not supporting Samsung Pay but now I can use it via Samsung Pay Card on both S20+ and Galaxy Watch Active2! Happy days!

I'm interested to try Samsung Pay but annoying ads, promotions, offers, thanks I'm not interested any more.

Might be different for UK users but I see one advert and its a Samsung product advert not random stuff.

I'm very happy there was a loyalty card import function from Google Pay. Thats saved me a lot of time and effort.

I will be going all in to give Samsung Pay a fair shot. Amex and Samsung Pay Card will cover all my payment needs. The Samsung Pay method of paying also feels much more secure to me.

I signed up my husband. I still don’t really understand this. Is it just a digital wallet to organise all you cards and you get rewards for using it or do you actually get a physical card?

Think you can ask for a physical card as well.

i was under the impression when signing up that the number on the card would be the same as my debit card but guess not it’s a separate card Number.

It is meant to be an all digital card but I see an £5 option to get a physical one posted to you on the Curve app. The actual benefits are similar to Curve plus all the Samsung offers.

The only shame is Amex isn't supported by Curve anymore although it has been in the past.

The physical card would be interesting if I has the Samsung branding on it. If it's just a curve card then it will just be another card.

Actually, just ordered the physical card, I'll feedback what it looks like in person. If it is as the picture.. happy days.

I love black cards where possible.. Samsung branding will be a bonus!

I'll have to download the curve app on my husband's phone and then I can order his one. Can you imagine he hadn't even set up Samsung pay. I had to set that up for him.

The last time I used Samsung Pay have to open the app to pay, whereas Google Pay just turn on phone. Wonder any change?

The last time I used Samsung pay I had remapped the bixby button to launch Samsung pay with a double tap. It was comparable to the way you use Apple Pay on the iPhone.

It has it so you can just swipe up on your first page to Bring it up so you don’t need to even click or find the app

You don't even have to wake the phone. You swipe up with the screen completey off. The lockscreen doesn't even have to be on. Just swipe up. Easy.

I never liked the swipe up method because I kept accidentally activating it. I turned that off and just remapped the bixby button. However I mostly used it on the Galaxy Watch.

I've had to switch swipe up off as I kept activating it too
