Nope the exynos Alpha scores higher benchmarks than the HTC M8 and S5 or the Xperia Z3

Other than screen resolution, it's top of the line spec wise.

Exactly. Why people have this misconception ?

They see lower resolution display and it doesn't have an "S" so they assume inferior spec.

SD Card slot ;)

well since they had to change so you can't download directly to the sd card when using torrentz i don't have enough space with just 16 gb and its not 16 i get after the os has taken what it want to run , 32gb would have been better like the note 4, at least as an option to take it like apple does .

Seems kinda silly to do just a processor upgrade just 6 months after you release a phone.

And Samsung wonders why they are money sales and revenue problems.

This is idiotic and pointless. Especially when you are 6 months after S5, and probably only 4-5 months from S6.

Samsung isn't the only ones to do this. HTC and LG have released multiple phones with small upgrades just like Samsung. I don't see you hating on that.

I don't understand what all the fuss is. Do you guys realize this is for the European market with their faster LTE network.
To market it over there they updated the CPU to take advantage of that. This has nothing to do with apple or anything else other than selling a feature, faster LTE to that specific region. To be able to do that they needed to update to the 805.

Why not complain about the S5 LTE-A with 2k screen only available in Korea? Or the S5 4G+ in Singapore that wouldn't do any good here in the US that doesn't have LTE-A except maybe in Chicago only??

Seems like people just want to find something about Samsung to complain about.

Honestly this will be very common soon, just like laptops they will start pushing "small" bump upgrades, at the rate whe are going there not really much this companys can do with their products.

People will start keeping their phones much longer like they do with computer, incremental updates like this will be common soon.

+1

OnePlus One

Google +

I think the word/symbol "Plus" is a little stale now, in tech.

PS: You may still +1 me :p

Wow. Just wow. Samsung. If I ever jumped to Android, it won't be a phone by this company.

Samsung used 'plus' in their phones long before Apple did.

Are they going after the naming convention now too? No longer satisfied with going after the design?

If you mean Apple, you are right

----------

Apple would never do this. They'd be murdered.

Sarcasm?

----------

Please don't bring fanboyism into this. You are better than this.

Isn't MR, especially this section, all about fanboyism :p

----------

If they are using the actual word 'Plus' in the title of this new phone, I would laugh my head off! Just a little bit shameless and unnecessary IMO.

Samsung have their own branding and identity and they need to move away from name dropping Apple in marketing and now using identical terminology for a new product. I'm sure they could have thought of another word that distances itself somewhat. This isn't to say the phone won't be excellent, I just think its a little bland to brand it in such a way. Perhaps this is a joke?

Nobody seem to get the facts straight here. Ignoring the fact that Samsung used it before Apple did ;)

I said mid-level parts (mid-level resolution compared to flagships, mid-level camera compared to flagships). It isn't a garbage phone or anything. Regardless, Samsung isn't promoting it like their 2 flagship phones, so it isn't one. Whether it should be or not is irrelevant. Maybe they couldn't produce enough to consider it for worldwide flagship status. Only Samsung knows.

Mid level camera ? Yep because it is 4mp greater than iphone 6 and 6+, and shoots 4k. It records 12mp images whereas the Xperia Z3 with its 20mp camera only captures 8MP images in all its modes other than manual. And it is only 8MP greater than the M8, and near identical to the Moto X 2014 and Nexus 6 13mp ... tell me how it's mid level compared to the other flagships again.... ;)
