I will be tempted to upgrade if they go to flat screen. Better battery and faster shutter speed would be tempting. Would love power button FP ID like my Flip 4 bc it's 24/7 instant,/flawless for me. However, I love my S22U and will probably keep it another year. Battery life is more than adequate - I just charge at night as I always have. This phone is very comfortable to handle for a big phone (13 PM was too much weight and uncomfortable for me so I downgraded to 13 Pro) and does everything I need it to and more. Also best photos for me (over 13 Pro).

I think the rumors of expected features should be amped up higher and higher until anything and everything Samsung could possibly do wool be a sad disappointment.

I actually skipped a few Samsungs. I do wish I’d skipped S8+. That phone was not good for me or my husband. But my niece loved hers. Ours were super laggy for some reason. Mine was set up as new with a very modest number of apps. Just luck of the draw, I guess?
Strange that. My Note 8 (very similar to the S8) was a great device.

They definitely have to upgrade the speaker audio. That's the one major flaw on the S22U.

Mmm.. mine is very good i find the base deep and clear enough for a phone. You probably need to turn Atmos Dolby ON in sounds quality menu.

S23u or + is on my top list now and the reason being is i really like 22Ultra lets go.....
Good plan, if trade ins are good here in UK I’ll trade in my 22 Ultra for 23 Ultra.

I wonder what the pre-order bonus will be tho this year 🤔 also if they give another year of Disney+ like last time when pre-ordering.

Let's hope in Uk you will get SD this time around.
Oh I hope so! I’m hoping that we will also get better battery life as well. The S22 Ultra isn’t bad, but it’s not iPhone quality when it comes to battery life.

I also hope that Samsung don’t increase the price. Keep it the same, offer good trade in and give us in the Uk the SD version and I’ll be sold. Oh and improve the camera.

The new 23 range looks really nice. I like the camera setup as it looks really clean compared to the raised bump currently in the s22 series.

The snapdragon 8 Gen 2 should be a pretty significant upgrade.

I am just torn between the s23 plus and Ultra. I like big screen phones with big batteries. I just don't like the full HD resolution on the plus.

The Ultra has curved display which I really hate. I never use an spen but the alpha Omega gangster I haven't ever had. Last Note like device I had was the Note 10.

I have a S22 plus and it is a great phone but I do wish the battery was a bit better. The cameras are okay. And the screen is full HD.

I have heard Samsung is sticking with full HD for the s23 plus as well so I don't know what I will do.

I'm got the Z Fold 4 and whilst I love the phone it's in the wrong format for me. I'll probably be picking up the S23 Ultra which I expect will have very similar performance to the Z Fold 4 but with better cameras and none of the folding nonsense.

Well I was going to think about trading my S22 Ultra in for an S23 Ultra and then trading my Pixel 6 Pro for a Z Flip 5 eventually. But today when I went to clean out my tech hutch, I saw my much loved S7 had the swollen battery problem MrWhosetheBoss had talked about on his YouTube channel. When I first took it from the cabinet I couldn’t see the swelling too easily but it swelled more when I got it out in the open. I guess because the heat is on and the cabinet had been in a cooler room. I’m not really sure.

Since it’s the only phone I had left that’s compatible with the Gear VR goggles I had I decided to send them to the recycling center, too.

How this impacts my decision: I don’t want to keep two Samsung phones around. One would likely sit around more than is good for the battery. I’m probably going to trade the S22 Ultra for a Z Flip 5 eventually.

😔 Thank you for your service to me S7.

Better dual SIM / eSIM implementation. Pixel allows you to select one number for data and the other for voice/text. Yet this feature isn’t available on the S22 Ultra.

Also, whenever I get an MMS message from someone I have to switch SIM’s in order to download it. This is incredibly annoying.
what??? I have S10 and I am able to select this, SIM1 for calls/text, SIM2 data

I still have my blue s7, not as beautiful as Note7 but one of the best sellers.
Oh I forgot the s7 had been sold in blue! You're so fortunate to still have it. I should have checked in on and done maintenance on my S7 sooner. I had been checking on it regularly for a long time, but first my mother-in-law got sick and then died, then my dad, so I got careless about maintenance of my stored tech.

I had two blue Note 7's. So did my husband. We loved those phones and they broke our hearts when we had to give them up. My first one did not seem to have any problems but my replacement heated up alarmingly with the lightest of usage. I had a gold S7 loaner from AT&T that had similar overheating issues. I also had an S7 Edge that worked very well for me. It gave me a bit of eye strain to use it. But overall I liked it.

The S7 that I showed in the pictures was one I used a LOT for VR gaming. I had so much fun with that. I'm sad Samsung abandoned VR gaming but I completely understand and agree it was smart of them to get out of that business.

May ask what country you are in? This could very well just be an American thing.

The Pixel 6 Pro has the ability to do what you can do with your S10.

I found some instructions on reddit that allowed someone to activate this functionality using the Android Debudding Bridge (ADB). But I have not had the opportunity to try them out yet.

I see. the Unites States is far behind Europe and the rest of the world in dual SIM functionality. The cellular carriers have fought it tooth and nail.

This goes back to the early days of cellular adoption in the United States. Cellular handsets have always been heavily subsidized in the United States. Right or wrong, this have given the cellular carriers a great deal of leverage over feature availability.
