I am not surprised at the results as the samsung s4 battery is like 1200 mAh more than the iphone 5 (s4 - 2600, i5 - 1434). So I would expect the battery life to last longer on the s4 during talk time taken into account if the both phone screens are off during the whole duration of the tests.

Exactly - battery life isn't made up of constant talk time, or constant browsing time. A mix of talk, browsing, videos, gameplay and standby time are what most users experience.

Given that most of these areas aren't even looked at in this article, I'll go ahead and go further than my previous posts and say its a load of bull. Nothing to do with the GS4 or any other phones mentioned. Simply the premise of the article and the tests conducted aren't enough information to make ANY sort of claim by.

I read each review on any brand with a bit of scepticism since so often they're biased. However after years of reading thousands of reviews I find most that are published out of the UK to be far more accurate and unafraid of their advertisers.

This publication has always been one of the best, and in this instance my personal side by side experience with my S4 and my iPhone 5 also reveals the same experience as the highlighted benchmarks suggest.

I'm a huge Apple enthusiast who is very disappointed in both Apples penchant for fighting & suing, thus falling way behind with its smartphone. The sad fact is the more they sell the less incentive they have to keep up.

Kudos to Apples marketing genius. Without them they'd be a shadow of the company they are now.

All I care about is the battery life I'M getting. All I know is my Nexus 4 performs better than the iPhone 5 here for me. I'm not going to get all butt hurt when someone says their iPhone gets better battery life than their Nexus 4 and vice versa. Everyone's usage is different. Not sure why people get so caught up in battery comparisons. What's even more amusing is when someone says their phone gets better battery life than phone x and owners of phone x act like someone just walked up and kicked their dog.
