I think what Apple also was saying about the 3.5 mm Jack being antiquated, is that its technology that’s been around (Dated) for 30 years and it’s time for a change. It’s just that not everybody agrees with Apples decision process of that change. I would say the 3.5. Jack was one of the most highly controversial transitions in the iPhone history.
Just like none agreed with the removal of the Floppy disk, Firewire port, the iPhone 30 pint connector, DVD/CD drive, USB ports. People will eventually get used to it and move on to Bluetooth, in 5 years or less we will look at wired headphones and laugh at them. I already do that today.

Bluetooth is the future and I get that, but Apple went a bit early on this one IMO. For Apple to say the 3.5mm jack is "archaic/old/antiquated technology" (even though the 3.5mm jack produces better sound) and that selling product wasn't the main focus.... Nah I'm not drinking that Kool-Aid, but again I respect the hustle lol.

You see people washing their Samsung devices? Others explained the differences between IP67/IP68, but I wouldn’t risk washing my phone regardless. Its a rating, not a guarantee.

Exactly, because if the water does damage the phone Apple and Samsung will not cover it under warranty! Buy a microfiber and some cleaner. No need to "wash" your phones. Wow, just shaking my head at that one.

For as long as the 3.5 mm Jack has been around, I’m not sure they went to early. I think they just were one of the first to delete it being How notorious the iPhone is and how much attention it received. If some other underrated smart phone deleted the headphone jack, it likely won’t be as big of a deal, strictly because the popularity iPhone.

I do agree that iPhone being the first to do it definitely caused a bigger stir than say Motorola.

Apple wasn't the first to get rid of the 3.5mm headphone jack. It just goes to show that some things don't matter until Apple does it.
