Looks pretty good to me, I honestly didn't even notice it at first. What do you guys think:

Yeah they made it look better than the one in those previous screenshots. Almost hard to tell at first glance that its a different font

Helvetica Neue was always a terrible display font, as it wasn't designed for that. SF looks a lot nicer, and is more readable. Looks really good to me.

Can anyone confirm that this new font -- I'm guessing it is San Francisco as rumored -- is also used in El Capitan?

So I compared the San Francisco Apple released for the watch, and the one being used on iOS, and they are very different. The top font is from the watch. The one on the bottom is a screen shot from iOS.

Wow, that's enough difference that I would have expected them to call it something else. Even if still including the San Francisco name.

Seems like a more widened version of it in a sense, otherwise quite similar.

It was kind of weird that they didn't even mention the font change considering it was used for both OS X and iOS. With how few changes actually took place with this release you'd think they would have at least acknowledged it

Could be that by not pointing it out they are thinking people won't pay much attention to it and just use it. Otherwise people are going to starting thinking there's something different and why and all that, which isn't what Apple wants the typical consumer to really be thinking about.

My original reaction to San Francisco was that I didn't love it on the watch...fine, but not great. So, I was nervous about it heading to iOS.

After installing the iOS9 Beta, I wasn't even sure at first if the font had changed. After getting into Mail and a few other apps the change became obvious and I really like it.
