Hahah, so misguided, and so obviously a trolling attempt; where to start?
There goes another one working outdoors with a laptop, you too on a sunny day perhaps? Jesus! Have u ever actually tried this, or are u just seeing the romantic side of working outdors meh!
I have, and it's fine. Usually there's quite a bit of shade around campus, and I can gurantee there's significantly more shade than their are free computer labs during the peak of the day.
Additionally, when travelling, it's incredibly convenient to be able to check your email and news from the gate lounges [a lot of airports have free wireless these days], where access to a powerpoint is either non-existant, difficult [especially in a crowded lounge when seating choice is slim-to-none] or simply troublesome [cables snaking across the floor, etc]. I was in Melbourne airport for six hours, waiting for the check-in to go 'live' so I could get to the gate lounges for my flight to LA. I can personally assure you that there aren't any power-points accessible until you get to the gate lounge.
1. If u use your couch at least don put the laptop on your lap, the heat from the bottom of MBPro can make quite a hazzard for mens testicles and fertility.
Do you use a laptop without pants or something?
2. If u carry the laptop in class it means u are not intrested in hearing something from the lesson.
Actually, being able to type notes in during a lecture is very advantageous, because you're keeping your information centralised; not across several pages and mediums [paper vs. electronic]. It's not difficult at all to pay attention and touch-type your notes.
Not good enough examples id say...
On trains im not sure but there must be power leads, perhaps not in all seats!
On Planes u can use the MagSafe Airline Adapter.
On the ferry u wont want to work outside, especially on a sunny day, its like u will be using a dimmed display, i think worse!
Whats a back deck/patio?
I think im the most common laptop user and only a few buyers wont be able to live wiithout batteries.
What trains have power connections? Maybe one of the large trains that travel interstate, but the majority of metropolitan-based rail services don't offer any kind of power connections on their trains. The cost is extremely prohibitive.
Economy/Coach classes on airlines very rarely offer power connections to passengers in those seats. I guess only "... spoiled kids wanting to work..." in Business or First Class get to utilize their "MagSafe Airline Adapters" and "... the list goes on and on and on." Also, as I've already touched on before, apparently there is no shade outside. Where do you live, the Sahara desert?
I guess common laptop users like yourself buy laptops not for the [gasp!] portability, but just to look like you might, one day, use it somewhere besides a desk. Or not, who knows, maybe I'm just talking crazy talk.
